(QLD) Pics and Vids of E-Series representing at PowerCruise

Without further suspense... and in no particular order here they are.

There are shiteloads of Rollin's car because he entered more events than the rest of us. So by comparison there are only a few of the other cars, OED666, Bipolar and (myself) 89AIT. Plus the photographers focus on the most standout cars during the cruises, so that explains why there aren't a lot of us while cruising.

Enjoy and discuss... Plus everyone that went post up anything that you have from the event.

Heaps of good pics there. I wish they had've gotten pics of my car after I washed it. 89AIT and I couldn't really avoid the mud. I think my car was holding about 7 kilos of it before I took it to Car Lovers.

My pics will come soon. A certain camera slut is occupying a big chunk of my memory card too!

looks like twas good fun.
i agree tho the im not loving the rex bar. not that one anyway.
but who cars. at least its unique. i think it would suit better if the car had side and rear skirts.

lookin forward to more pics.

the rex bar looked much better on the red car, but i believe this is becuase Rollin had the XR body kit on it.

i am not sure what Rollins plans are body kit wise, but it will look even better if he decides to get an xr body kit on his car. :D

i like it anyways... damn turbo'd bastard. i was sitting in his car while he was taking me around the track, and i was calling him all names under the sun!!! all becuase it goes fast... looking forward to BI6TIM and turbodrift's car's at next powercruise

Snortingboost was right... I have blown the exhaust manifold gasket near one cylinder, It's not a lifter like I thought. He's so wise, like a miniature buddha all covered in hair. Well maybe not miniature or covered in hair... oh hell you know what I mean.

If that's all that I came away from powercruise with that's wrong with the car then I'm happy.

Something always happens to each car at PC.

Raebird = Clutch disintegrated and did some kitty litter excavation with his fog lights last year.
BI6TIM = One of his doors had a fight with a tyre stack last year.
Rollin = Shredded rear bar with a de-laminating tyre last year, two dead clutches, a rear brake pad and a fight with a pole this year.
Bipolar = Car got got dirty. :D
OED666 = I can't think of anything right now, but I'm sure there is something. Ohh frequency switch not working properly... naa that doesn't really count...

There is one other thing you can count on at PC... RAIN!

Don't think I haven't thought about taking it to Fat Pipes and saying "Manifold, external gate and 3" mandrel system. Do it!"

The black stuff is only there as a guide :D

The burnout was a skocker - the clutch shat itself which meant I could only use 2nd gear, and it was pretty much impossible to keep the engine off the limiter - it had easily enough power to pull 4th, but the clutch wouldn't hold. The car is capable of so much more than what you see in the skid pics!

89AIT - are those pics off the actual powercruise dvd? If so I'm amazed at the number of them, bloody hell. Makes up for last year when I did all the same stuff but didn't make it into any photos!

I had a bit of a mixed weekend...I'm surprised at how quick the car is for sure - I raced and drilled quite a few cars I didn't think I would :D but at the same time I had a shocker - My brand new brass button clutch disntegrated during the burnouts on friday night, which meant I had to throw the stocker back in and use that for the rest of the weekend. It held up surprisingly well but now slips at WOT in any gear other than first.

Using the stock clutch meant that powerskids were out (clutch dump in second = slip not wheelspin) and also that I couldn't use 3rd in the drifting, only second, which meant less smoke and sickness exiting turn 6 :( Much thanks to everyone who helped me change the clutch at 10:00 at night when they could have been sleeping!

Also, the rear brakes started to drag, so the rear pads lasted approx 15,000km, as opposed to the last set which lasted 50,000km, and I had to drive home using pretty much only compression braking as they were down to the backing plate by sunday arvo.

The thing I'm most pissed about though, is running into a damn pole at like 3km/h. Oh my god, I think I am the most retarded person ever, and it's not a very funny retardation!

I was waiting in the marshalling area to go out into pit lane and the marshals started waving my line of cars through. At the sides of each lane there are big bright yellow bollards that are very big and bright and yellow and obvious. There was a powercruise marshal about 15m away on my left and one quite close on my right. As we drove towards them the one on the left made a "show me your arm bands" hand signal to us so we all held up our arms to show him, and I started to turn right to head out to the pits.

I noticed the marshal on the right was also making wierd arm movements and couldn't tell if he was motioning to me or to the guy behind, so as we went past him I turned to keep looking at him and I must have turned the wheel more as I turned my head or something, because I nailed the pole right behind the RHF wheel, caving in the guard, the drivers door and the sill panel and bending in the bottom of the A pillar as well. I'm amazed at the amount of damage for such a super-slow speed impact, and I'm absolutely PISSED at myself for making such a stupid mistake.

*sigh*

I hope you rape the kents that got you the clutch. I would quote you but I CBF digging up the quote, You wanted that clutch to handle a metric arse load of power and it failed. At least you seemed to have fun, i would have been the man for changing your clutch if i was up there, me and you could probably do a t5/t56/clutch swap in 30 minutes. You're still my hero, and i need a new quote for my sig. lol

Yeah man...

Here's the tally from the two DVD's that I got, keep in mind there are thousands of photos taking up about 8.5gb. I went through them all and found all these ones of us, not too hard or time consuming with thumbnail view.

Bipolar = 3 pics
89AIT = 5 pics
OED666 = 9 pics
Rollin = 70 pics

With the photos that I posted above we had no control over what shots were taken. We just bought all the photos that all the photographers took over the three days of events. That's why they are so good, they're taken with really expensive cameras.

I didn't take that many shots (including the 2 above), I mainly took video, but here they are fresh from my phone:

This was the view out my window at 7:15 on Thursday morning after everyone who was supposed to be lining up behind us got told to move from the start of the entrance and down the street
Image

Moved in from the first area to the next area to the next at about 9:30. These are the only pics of my car clean(ish)
Image
Image

My view at 12:10 Thursday, waiting in line to go through scrutineering
Image

The view from my tent. That slimy deep mud is what we had to walk and drive through all Thursday
Image

89AIT waiting to go out on one of the Powercruise sessions
Image

Camera slut
Image

My awesome brand new high quality tent. I would've been more pissed if I actually paid the full $90 for it.
