It was stock as a rock so id love to see what a lightly modified M3 would do at the end of 6th gear.

E30, 3lt M3 with a "Welded Diff" Top speed of 288km/h and it sat quite fine.... Felt like we were still doing 80... Mind you it had like some wicked suspension out of the race car M3s of that era.

Dumb shit alright, my feet got burnt cause I only had thongs on...!

Crazy thing is that bike was completely unmodified. 300km/h straight out of the showroom for only $17000.
I don't think you can buy a Suzuki Swift (new) for that price.

I realise those are both "sport" BMW's, but the average beemer will SHIT all over anything Aussie at 200+. The confidence they inspire and the chassis balance they have is in another league. They run very exaggerated castor angles compared to the Falcons and Commodores, which is why I think they feel far more stable. At 100km/h (in the 528i) it's possible to slalom the whole car between each individual cats eye on the road and not get twitchy. The ED would only slalom through every second one, and it was scary doing it LOL.

I agree that most Euros have good high speed handling, given they're used on the autobahns, but a 325i/C-class would not out-handle my old VT GTS at 200+kph. Sure, the bodykit was plastic fantastic and over the top, but my god it worked at high speed.

Having said that, it's an exception rather than the rule, I know my mates 325i is much more relaxed at 100+ than my Falcons.

I'm yet to punch through 200 yet - 180 was the limit when my crap mobile was standard. Whizzed past a cop scrambling for his motorbike. Luckily my mate also in a standard EB was a few meters in front hehe. I didn't have the reading.

My car does that no worries :P

I do get your point though - it helps that those cars are designed for autobahns where 200+ is the norm rather than an invitation for a fisting by whichever transport authority makes the rules in your state. No point making a Falcon or a Commo handle like a dream at 200km/h because about0.01% of them will ever be required to go that fast.

Hopefully in a couple of months my car will manage that at the end of a standing 400m :D

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

If I come to QLD, I reckon you owe it to me to show me your ED doing this, that's very impressive IMO. I thought I was the only one who gets bored on long trips and does random slalom practice across two lanes hahaha.

I call bullshit holmsy. Unless the spacings of the cats eyes are vastly different state to state, I'll put my head out and say it's most definitely impossible to do that at 130 in a stock suspended falcon. Just so we're clear though, I mean that you would treat the cats eyes as witches hats, and put the car through every space between them, not just one side of the car.

i didnt say i was successful
some parts had big spacings tho so could do it.
