This is how you install a plazmaman cai on a N/A 6 cylinder BA or BF

Image

First you have to undo the clips around the air box and loosen the ring clamp pictured below. Once you have done that you take out the top of the air box and hose.

Then undo these 3 bolts (8mm orange) and then these 2 bolts (10mm green) and remove this hose from the rocker cover (yellow) there is also 2 screws at opening of the snorkel that isn't pictured that need to be undone. After you have done all that remove the rest of the air box and piping.

Now it should look like this

I put all the bolts and screws back in after I removed everything just so you don't lose anything if you want to put it back to stock.

Now you can start putting in the new cai. Its fairly straight forward just put the piping together with the ring clamps provided and bolt in the air box and enjoy.

Its got a great roar to it now and far better throttle response aswell as more power :drinks2:

So similar to the one I made for my el a while back, the black looks better. How does the temperature of the shield seem after driving? Noticed mine gets fair hot, plan on lining it with some heat matting on the inside where it wont be seen but will stop the heat soak.

Any reason these wouldn't 'bolt' on to an earlier series falcon?

I did notice it got a little hot today, but I did have a heavy foot lol

The shape of the airbox would need to be changed but other then that it should be ok, provided it had a BBM.

I don't really see how this could be noticeably better than a decent panel filter and perhaps a larger snorkel??

*edit, re-read the site. Just for throttle response and 'roar'.

Decent airbox's on B-Series sound really good, I had a blue power airbox on my old BA and the induction noise Was epic.
