why didnt you go a cross flow type cooler in the first place... if you wanted to upgrade engine bay piping the whole time why not start with a plazmaman/process west cooler like dylans... doesnt have to be as big but that would have cut down on so much piping....like we're talking probly 1/2 the piping you have...

thats about the same as the plazmaman under battery intake kit...

Bentls, i got the cooler kit at a very good price from process west, as it was fitted to someone's car, then removed a week later when the customer wanted to upgrade. I couldn't pass it up.

I always had the intention of not getting rid of the stock crossover for stealthness, but now i'm thinking about replacing it with that process west CAI and battery pipe, purely for quicker spooling of the turbo. Apparently the spooling is a lot quicker, obviously not as quick as a full crossover intercooler kit, but still good.

Sunny, the cooler kit is $925 ($40 more if you want black) and the CAI and ABP kit is $695.

I'm in no hurry to do these things, still loving the power at the moment.

Ash, i'm more than likely going to grab that kit from process west.. in all black for added stealthness haha. Then off to Mick for a re-tune, and hopefully quicker spooling and better streetability.. So i'll let you know how it goes. We gotta have a cruise soon so you can come for a spin.

Why go black cooler for stealth? Everyone expects these to be boosted anyway.

I don't really follow, I thought you chose a stage 1 cooler so it would still look kind of factory..

Ash,

I did.. but now i'm maybe thinking about changing my insurance to just cars and running some more intense gear (still looking all factory from outside) so hopefully mr. plod still doesn't get attracted to me.

the stage 1 cooler has the same core as the stage 2, so will handle plenty of power.

I'm going for drivability and throttle response rather than more power. peak power of 300rwkw is too much for the road anyway (wheelspin city). I want faster spool, etc.

Jack,

I always wanna sell it until i get in it to drive it, and my mind changes everytime.

I love the damn thing!
