KK well i sold my EB, unfortunatly i've moved too the dark side. I was buying an xr6t but figured i'll wait for the price of the BF's to come down a little before i go the whole hog.

As i didnt need a loan or to save this is what i ended up with.
a series 2 vp bt1.

yeah i wanna keep it 99% orig. it was on rims when i got it but i want it sleeper/cop spec how ever you wanna say it. its got an exhaust thats it just a wicked cruiser and drives so good not being slammed.

yeah it was pretty cheap and come with a raody owned by an old guy since 'decomissoned' he got it at the auctions and had it since. it had like headlight protectors and wind/rain visors on the windows too lol.

yeah it is kinda box car lol, thanks for the compliments :drinks2:

looks like a pretty clean car, but the VN/VPs get my vote for most boring and depressing interior ever.

what do the chasers have different do a factory spec?

yeah man. i like my stereos, not very hard just depends how indepth you wanna go. one thing i noticed is tho is that there is stuff all room for dvd players in these things due to the shape and position of the heatercore.

yeah the interior is 'blah' but surprisingly comfy,
You could go on FOREVER & EVER about what bt1's have or are 'ment' to have, but basically they are 5l exec's with HSV/SS drive lines ( 5.0l/ factory extractors / LSD/ 3.45's/ cop cluster/ drop tank ) mine has a big as bash plate over the sump and starter motor. surprisingly fun and nice car to drive

hahah there is no way this car will see 'rims' as long as i own it, thats what the police had on it (15x7's) so thats how it stays.

Yeah i guess these are kinda the box car of holdens, love my ea/ebs so its kinda alike,

Only from what i've heard i think the commo 5.0L heads are good for like 600hp :? ?
i have it on pretty good aurthority there is no such things as a cop chip lol

surprised this car has gone over so well lol

The EFI Holden heads are a good design, and may well flow 600hp, but only after a good going over.

The intake manifold chokes those 304s once they've got a bit of work, but for a daily it's not a big deal.

but yeah they are good heads.

It's a nice looking VP man, needs more 355 though ;)

needs more 355 :good:
i have a block thats had all machine work done for a c.o.m.e 355 kit. its only a block, no rotating assembly tho.
possibly if i keep the car, which i doubt. i have spoken to people in the know and am lookin at holeset/truck turbo 355.

currently phil sodastrong (dominator founder) is running a 315cube stroker (started as a a 308) with an old truck turbz and its making a reliable street driven 800hp on pump fuel (blow through set up) and will make 1000hp on good fuel. a family friend is building a 355 version of phils motor and as a 355 aint a great stretch of the standard 304 and running lowish boost the motor should hold up for a fair while in his prem.

aaahhhh if i had all the money in the world. My initial idea in buying the vp was to screw together a tough turbo ready 4ltr and swap the vp for a mint ea/eb with a sunroof for summer but if someone is interested in the VP with a turbo or a manual car with a roof its up for swaps. no cash sales tho.

thanks for the compliments again.

mate of a mate is whacking a 3582r on his 304 on LPG, internally stock, twin GRA throttle manifold, all in a VP...should be a decent weapon.
i'd think about going that path, fukk the 355, as tough as a decent one sounds, boosted stock motors is where it's at for a street slapper...

The interior is clean, the best parts the boot so clean and nice its ok for a commo throw the auto in the bin too manuel FTW. a mate has a vp ss turbo manuel didn't cost him much. goes well too apparently. NUT347 tell this fine man how jimmys' ss goes. overall 10/10 for good nick, but will dock points for it being a commo so 7/10

TH700 autobox ratios > BTR ratios. TH700 can be beefed up a fair bit too. It's not as refined as the BTR, but it's a good unit.

Fuckit, VN/VP have a few advantages over E-series. Tailshaft isn't as prone to self destruction, autos are better geared, they're lighter, and brake upgrades are slightly cheaper.

Having said that, the interior is made of recycled plastic milk bottles, the steering sucks - you never quite know where the wheels are pointed exactly, and they have a super flexy chassis. No I6 either.
