Nardz' EF Mont-Rollin on 19's

Postby Nardz27 » July 9th, 2009, 10:29 pm

Hey Guys

I Just recently joined this forum and it has motivated the heck outta me to turbo my EF.
I dont wanna turbo the SOHC six but. In future I intend to whack a BA xr6 turbo engine into it, when my account piles up with enough dough haha
Fordman351 is my inspiration for my plans ... http://www.fordmods.com/commercial-spon ... 60016.html

Unfortunately, this wont be happening for a year or so, because of 1st yr apprentice wages  so for the time being I'll stick with it as a close-to stock EF

Anyways, more blabbing on about the car itself. It is a 1995 EF Fairmont I bought off my parents with 160000kms on the clock, and has never had many major repairs performed.
with the Initial purchase, it had 4wd suspension, nanna sunvisor, window visors, and mudflaps.

As I bought it...

The first thing to do was drop it a bit
I installed rear superlows and gas riser shocks in the rear
Image

The visors were ruining the whole flow of the car imo so I removed all the visors.
Also the orange side repeaters stood out too much so clear ones were installed
Front superlows were then installed with ultima shocks and a camber kit to even out the ride height

And that is how it drives to date..although I recently bought a set of brand new 19" ANZ 5+5 wheels and they are getting freighted as I type this.
Tell me what you guys think..do you's reckon it needs ultralows in the rear?
Have any of you guys removed mud flaps to find that they have worn through the paint down to the steel? what can i do about it? touch up paint lol?

Very nice looking car :)

Your last 2 pics in your first post really make me want to lower my car, that looks 500 times better.

And that EF fairmont grill looks good too, I had the EF ghia grill on my car... stripped the paint off and it came up chrome... that was good till I hit a poll and broke it  so now its replace with an EL grill..

Seeing your car though makes me want to track down another EF ghia grill :-P

I think you can only do it to the ghia grill's, they were black with chrome underneath... I think ford wanted a chrome outer lip or something :-P

Here are some pics of how mine turned out...

As I was scraping the paint off;

Front of my car was lowered in this picture, took the springs out because they were cut though... the car dived on the brakes too much.

cheers man

they are ANZ 5+5 's and yea spacers were used.

...and yea does need ultras in the rear, but the rear is on an angle in the photos because one wheels on the bitumen and ones on the dirt.
see the photo of the left side of the car? the rear end is a lot lower than the right side, coz the left is on the dirt.
