I'm not sure if I should do the extractors the same colour as the rocker cover or silver & I agree with the polished intake.

I thought I would share the other Ford in our Family. Its a 2004 BA XR8 had it for 5 years. Been on direct injected gas for 2 years. Its the Wife's car & just a family cruiser. It has leather trim premium sound & a sunroof. No mods have been done to it yet besides the new 19" we had fitted today . Hopefully there is an exhaust system being fitted soon. The other little touches we have done to the car is the hot pink boss 260 stickers & all the red 8's have been changed to pink. Here are some photos for you to enjoy

xr8 looks good. i am curious about the gas system tho. how mych did it cost to get it all done if ya dont mind me askin... how far out of a tank do u get and do u lose/gain any performance?
just bought myself a xr8 and am considering a good gas system if i see it as worth it in the end.

The gas system lacked performance at the start eg: if you were to put your foot down it would starve for gas. We had it tuned & it was a massive improvement. It took off almost as good as on petrol. The guy who we used told me if I got the newer gas injectors for this system ihe would be able to make it go better. As k's the car doesn't leave Werribee it is used to transport the kids to school & the wife drives to work so we get around 220k's to a tank 55 usable litres on the highway when i took it to QLD with cruise set at 110 I got about 350 to 400 k's out of it. Price I can't remember what we paid for it sorry mate. Don't know if its worth it as gas has gone up 8c p/l but in saying that it is still cheaper than petrol. $25-$30 a week to run a V8 around the suburbs can't complain about that.

Thanks John

Update
Had to take my car to Jim mock motor sport for some work. Went in to have the timing chain fixed & found out my timing chain had been stuffed for a while also had a small crack in the timing chain cover. Then I found out my dizzy cap was not on properly & was way out of tune. He said it was running retard 35 degrees & who ever tried to tune it before I got it tried to compensate for this. Anyways got it all sorted had it dyno tuned & it now has 180rwkw & 850nm of torque. Very happy with the end result now drives a lot better.
See you at the all ford day John

don't think powerdynes really make a noise. belt driven aren't they. i'm sure brendan would get the most out of it.

lol I was told 220 but brendan at jmm said with the setup i have thats pretty much it its a pretty old setup he says but im happy with it its just a daily for now Hopefully I will be able to take it off the road or a full rebuild was thinking au xr6 engine with a vortech & plenty of other good bits n pieces. The powerdyne does make a little noise you can notice it if you know what to listen for but as i said its just my daily very happy with it love it. Just want to put a lsd into it. one day i suppose

180rwkw is a good bit of poke in an ED.
maybe look at galapogos' EF for some ideas to squeeze a bit more out of it.

otherwise, like you said, vortech will solve it :D
