Watties ED xr8

Postby freerider » September 8th, 2009, 5:03 am

G'day guys
thort it was about time i posted up a lil bit of the xr8 i had for a while..
i brought it off my old man while i was workin in the mines which didnt start off well.. i hit a roo doin round 200kmph+ on the way to work one mornin ( a day after getting my license and the same day i brought the car) then 4 days later got caught doin my first burnout in it 40 mins outa the nearest town in the dirt which set me back around $1500 for fees and impound and lost my license for a few months but its all goin well now apart from the odd speeding fine..

not many mods done to it..
i put a K&N pod in but only coz theres a headlight missing from hitting the roo so it gets lots of fresh air :) and my air box was totally smashed.
2.5 exhaust
heavy duty button clutch
kenwood 6.5" 240watt in rear
kenwood 6" 220watt in front
kenwwod 600watt amp
sony xplod 10" sub
plus i replaces all the leads, spark plugs, water pump, fuel pump and filter, radiator, engine mounts, bushes, and just alot of other little random things.
and thats it yet it still beats every vs ss ive gone up against..

heres a few pics anyway..

You can turbo a v8 you know... and why turbo a 3.9 if your going to have restrictions?

coz it will take me time and it will be a 4.0 that gets turboed not the 3.9.. i needed a daily as the cops were getting onto me about driving over powered and they starting to come down on it hard here but only with v8 for some reason.. and basicly the xr8 couldnt handle turbo the way its goin it need full rebuild from dodgy work done b4 i got it
