Hey dudes been around here a while, dont post heaps. Used to have a EB XR6 that some of you may remember:

Image

Anyways i did love it but the body was pretty much rooted, and decided i wanted something a bit newer and nicer, so i bought this:

2002 AU3 XR6 HP, 5 speed, factory rebel kit
when i bought it nearly a year ago now it was completely stock apart from ugly chromies, since then ive done the following:
2.5"catback with straight through muffler and rear resonator, staggered twin stainless tips, high flow cat, castle headers
XR6T sorkle, phoon style lower snorkle (home made), K&N panel filter, 3" mandrel bent & heat wrapped intake pipe
Kings superlows, pedders short stroke shocks
Speedy cheetahs 19", 8.5 front and 9.5 rear (and they still have gay offset!!!)
JVC head unit, eclipse sub, alpine amp
Billet short shifter
then small shit like: de badged, smoothed air box lid, tinted tail lights, fairmont boot lid liner, el fan cover

Any ways ive lost my license so ive got lots of plans for it while its sitting there doing nothing, the biggest of them being some form of forced induction

How was fitment on the front? how far out of the guard was the rim? would a stretched 235 fit under the guard?

They were off a skyline BTW, this was the front:

theyve got 255's, so 235s should be inside the guard. Im hoping so anyway because when i get jap wheels ill be poking them out a tad with 235's stretched over 9.5's

the eb looked nice. clean au too. i don't think the black drifteks does anything for it at all, might aswell just have chaser's on it.

you had to see the drift teks on it in person, it looked soo tuff. pics do it no justice. Any ways ill probably end up getting one of these two wheels, will have winning offset and stretched tyres :D the second ones should be a similar colour to the gray on the rebel kit, which would look pretty cool.

Naw man, I wanted to be the first one with Drift Teks on an AU! :P They do look hella tuff, but I don’t know about the stretched tyre look though. I think it makes you (in general, not you personally) look cheap, like you can’t afford big enough tyres to fit the wheels properly. Which is why I’d stick with the BF’s, they look better ion an AU anyway!

Might be hard to get the best offset on an AU.... I'll be fitting a set of 18 x 9.5 +12 CR KAI's on my brother's ute to see how they fit

i dunno, the front will be easy, and ill just get the backs to stick out as far as they come, and if thats not enough ill use spacers. Hoping i can get the right offset for the ginormous rear guards though..

18 x 10 -1.... Just saying. Damn I really should have grabbed pics when I test fitted them. They required some guard mods though....

haha that woulda looked sick, im not sure if ill go 17 or 18 since it will be easier to stretch on 17s, but 18s look better. Dunno if ive mentioned but i work at tyrepower so not worried about how much extra its going to cost to play with offsets. My Cheetahs with the tyres on them shoulda been close to 3k retail, i paid a touch under 1800 :D
