I've never felt that I've had anything worthy of a showroom thread until now! I needed a cheap banger, and this thing came up.

Mods since those beautiful pics were taken have been the following:
Remove shotgun shells from tray
Remove various "Australia, Love it or leave it" style stickers from the windows
Remove the aussie flag draped across the shelf behind the seats
Remove the transformers sticker on the bonnet
Remove the tacky gearknob and replace with standard one
Remove CB aerial mount
Remove the rear roll bar, and the spotlights on them
(Anyone noticing a theme here!!)
Here's some pics of how it sits now:

Here's some info on it:
XG ute, 94 model.
5 speed manual with a new clutch cable. Pedal is by far the lightest E-series manual I've driven! Box is nice and tight too, I've solid mounted the shifter for a tighter feel.
4lt engine (same as ED)
310,000kms on the clock, but drives very well.
Engine bay is extremely dry, tidy and original,
Pacemaker 4499s extractors,
High flow cat
Has some hillbilly accessories like a roll bar, 5 post bull bar, Narva front spot lights - Wired in properly, through a relay. Switched on with highbeams only.
Also has a tub liner, towbar, tuff brand tonneau cover.
Body is pretty straight for a ute, worst spot being a scrape along the right rear quarter. Not too bad though. The rest of it is quite straight though. A few bumps etc in the tailgate, but for a 94 ute, the tailgate is very straight.
Suspension is stock and doesn't feel too bad.
Has EB/ED Fairmont turboblades.
Inside is fairly clean. Has ED Fairmont velour seats, sports wheel, and XF Ghia door trims. I'll most likely be replacing the door trims as soon as I can find some clean grey ones, as these ones are for power windows, and you have to leave part of the arm rest off to wind the windows (as you can see in the pic).
Also has a small stereo - Kenwood CD, kenwood 4" speakers in dash location, 6" speakers in door trims behind the grills.
From here, all I plan to do is the following:
-I'll be putting a stock XG (same as EB/ED gli) wheel back on it this weekend (It's sitting in the boot of my EL ready to go!).
-Metal pedal covers and the tacho will be removed
-Door speaker wires will be put in the way they should be.
-Standard door trims
-The checker plate gear surround will be changed for a standard part as soon as I find one. And I'm looking out for some non-power window door trims at the moment.
-I'll probably remove the bullbar as well when I get a chance.
Apart from that, all I've got left to do that I haven't already done is to fix an exhaust leak, and have a look at the passenger door, bit heavy to open and close. I'm assuming this will just need a new bush kit for the hinges.
Oh and please note the supply of stockies in the back is for my EL turbo, not this thing!
Well anyway, that's my crap heap, enjoy!
Justin.
