Got my car back, drives and doses much better now

I dont think it will be too far away when I go for that converter though Paul. Will put up with what I have and pay rego/insurance first.

Didnt you guys get major defects which require a rwc and presentation of the car at vicroads?

Last week a mate got done for small things on his 4wd but they gave him a major defect. He needed to get a rwc then take the car in to vicroads to be inspected.

they only check whats on the defect well thats what vicroads have done for my last 4 canaries

I thought it was with all major's you need a RWC but minor only needs listed items fixed and shown to vicroads?

There is a box on the defect tho that they can tick to say if you need to obtain an RWC.
