lol im always flooring it in this.

nah i got about 540km out of the tank. not to bad as i was flooring it up and down mount bulla.
also our camp site was a 30minute drive on adirt road which was just like continous speed humps :( that killed the fuel too. still not to bad for what it is i think :good:

cheers man, um nah im assuming mine doesnt have it as i havnt come across it yet.

C+A are awesome mate. always helpfull. even before i bought this, they were nice and helped me out a few times. ive heard the c+a intake has made the most power out of them all and its not badly priced.
i do like the factory look of the vcm intake tho. all in all- if i was starting again i would use them again. very happy with there service.

you sould see some good numbers with intake and tune alone. and if you want some hsv headers and cats to make some more power, give me a yell :good:

so i was very busy over the holidays working flat out on my tbird. and then i had to swap the clutch over. this was alot easyier than in my ba. got the box out fine.

then as pulling the box out the slave fell aprt into like 6 pieces. it was shagged big time.

the pressure plate and flywheel had a lot of hot spots on it. clutch plates still had a fair bit of meat left on it. so with a machining of flywheel and p.plate i could of reused clutch. but opted to use my new one to be safe.

yeah all done man. thanks anyway tho. and i was told i had to use a genuine gm slave with my clutch or something.
i think the ba slaves have a plastic body yeah?

justin- went for an extreme. C+a use them and have no problems with them.

so with massive thanks to scott, brad and tristan we got the box in and all going again. after 2 weeks of driving a shitbox laser, was good to drive this again.

the bleeder on these are wayyy better than on a ba. the bleed nipple on this sticks outside of the bellhousing where my ba sat in a few mm and i didnt know when putting it together you need to put a small socket on the nipple so it doesnt lean against the b.housing. then if its hard against the b.housing you cant get a socket over it to bleed it, if that makes sence lol.

ok so i went on a cruise yesturday with the hsv club. good cruise and some bloody nice cars too.some of the boys loved my ute with the work thats been done to it .did almost 400kms yesturday alone. heres a few pics:

on the way home, almost asleep , 30 seconds from home if that- these boys spotted me doing 19kms over.
top cops really,i stuffed up so im happy to cop it. he looked over the car and said how nice it was.(after following me into the car park with the ute idling like a pig lol.)
was all good, got my fine and points and they jumped back in their car to take off.
then he pulled up beside me and was like- "hey dylan? this car isnt registed!"
ive had the rego canclled on me too! so pretty bloody expensive sunday :banghead:

nah cos i wanted to use up all the tassie rego and then either 1, put it in my name or 2, sell it.

transfurs alone are over $1500 then $624 for rego then $30 for plates and $40 odd to make an appointment to do it all lol.
then there is the $240 fine for speeding and $??? for a rwc and whatever they find :(

lol was thinking on way home tonight i should sell this and just buy some cheap car but i dont think i could do it.

i woulda thought id get a letter too! the cop says that maybe he lost the paper work with my name on it and has just canceled it without giving the tas RTA my details?

BA-FG and VTII to VZ slave's are the same height. VE factory slaves are 20mm longer, so you would need a spacer to use an earlier slave.

How much did you pay for that VE slave???

cost like $450 ish. i know you coulda got cheaper but i just wanted it fixed.

also when the car was on the hoist while i was doing the clutch, i painted my calipers and discs.
i hated how they were that faded red before.
it actually took a bit of work to do these right. i didnt just hit them with a spray can :drinks2:

This is just a rust proof coating you put on before your top coat. and it helps with coverage too.

as you can see i painted them black. i was going to paint the hubs silver but as i plan to go gts wheels i think it would better all black.

lol i did that on the rears as i had them machined and it saved me masking them up lol.

ok so everyone on my facebook knows this but for those who dont, i got caught in narre warren today(floods).
looks like ive bent rods etc etc. hydro lock is my guess without striping motor down.
its really fucken killed me. pretty shit year for me so far
