It probably won't make much more then that, it's only a stock turbo with .70 front.

The bloke that's tuning it said it might go over 400 because of cams and headwork

Haha I wouldn't say thrash it! But I get to drive it to run it in, take it for a tune etc.

He only comes to Brisbane once every 3-4 weeks so he is dirty that I'll drive it again before him.

I can't wait to start it again, it's been 2 years!

So the motor got put back together yesterday and I started fitting all the accessories today.

Will probably fit the engine tomorrow.

Took the car to my mechanics down the road because he has a hoist, gave me the keys to his shed and said use whatever tools you want :)

**** I love hoists!

Should be running tomorrow, bed the rings, run the clutch in and take it for a tune.

Hoists are sick. Waay easier to work on cars with one!
We changed 2 gearboxes in my eb without one, then dad found one for 500 bucks. Best thing we ever did!

Coming together nicely man!

Cheers guys :)

Hoists fucking rock btw, I didn't lay on the floor once today. And fitting the starter motor took all of 30 seconds <3

Anyway... It runs!!!

Image

After measuring the CSC we had 14mm with no spacers, was pretty excited about that.

Haven't taken it for a drive yet, still need to modify the hot side pipe to 2 1/2" for the front cover, fit airbox, fit front bar etc.

Bled the clutch just before I packed up.. I can't believe how light it is!

It fits all good :)

So it's all back together now, all new diff bushes, new centre tail shaft bearing/bush, new uni and a few other bits.

Put the bar back on, tightened everything up, started it up then remembered no power steering fluid yet. So we get the drum out, start filling and it pisses out the pressure line :banghead:

Have to get a new one tomorrow then I'll take it for a drive.

Fitted the pressure line last night and took it for a drive straight away.

Runs well, and it's alot more toey off boost then I remember.

We took it out for a cruise on the northside, you get some funny looks in one of these when the idle is rough as guts haha.

I'll take some finished photos and post it up.

Brent is on his way down for power cruise now so I look forward to the several blowys he owes me.

Yeah we will be at PC, can't wait to clutch 3rd several times down the straight!

Makes 360rwkw on 14psi.

Needs a bigger fuel pump/surge tank to go any further and he didn't give full timing because the motor has only done 1100kms...

So next is process west fuel pump kit, few more kms on the engine and back for a retune on 20psi.

Brent took to this to the drags last night.

First run was 14.03@112mph lol... 2.7sec 60 foot. he took off easy and slow gear changes.

Second run was 13.3@ 116mph 2.4 60ft

Last run was 12.7@119mph with 2.3 60ft.

Not to bad considering he was driving it like a pansy, had the 19s on it and his first time ever at the drags.

Spewing I couldn't go, I would have gave it everything lol!

not bad for a manual. Should possibly even dip into the 11s once its got its full tune. Waste of time going in anything but ET Streets IMO. Especially in a manual with ~380rwkw+.

Good to get the 1st time out. From the looks of all those results, he should get a 11.9x with ET streets.

As I say, he was driving it like a girl and its first time ever at the drags.

With a 2.00 60ft it should do a high 11 with around 122 or something.... And with a decent driver.

Needs ET Streets though!!

383rwkw on 16psi. Turbo is now maxed out

BPS said his dyno reads a little low and could be making such good power on low boost because of head work and cams.

But fark me, it just spins lol.
