TUFED, how much power was your SR making when it necessitated a bottom end build?

John who tuned the falcon reckons we can make 300rwhp pretty reliably and easily without stressing it out too much, imports is what he normally does. Not sure I'll even need that much to be honest, you can really feel the weight difference between this and the falcon. Probably settle for 250rwhp.

My crystal ball says that with a front mount (which it already has), exhaust ( which it already has), fuel pump, adjustable fuel reg, electronic boost controller and management on 18 psi it will make at least 204rwkw and cut a 12.8 second ET. Then add a sick clutch and man diff and it will equal quality drift action.

Next step will be a disco potato or TD06 (replacing the ballroom tomato it already has), high mount manifold, external gate (with screamer of course), injectors and anti-lag running 30 psi will facilitate a bottom end build or Tim learning Japanese and then a phone call to JUN.

I don't need to learn Japanese, Ivan already knows JUN's phone number and has ordered the sickness once before.

I'll never have enough money for that though, so never mind, you need to calm down a little I think Brett, maybe sit the next couple of plays out.

yeah aguy at work with some mods just fuel pump and z32 airflow meter made 202rwkw on 16psi and got told 20psi would equal 220+.
but he has a full house engine and high mount with a massive turbo (he doesnt no what it is) that has a small rear housing for better spool time and that motor made 350rwkw on 7psi in another car.
how beliveable that is im not sure just saying what he told me.
car looks good mate and both wheels u showed will make it even better.
cheers josh.

Word on the street is you must place your order for JUN sickness yourself you can't have someone do it for you since you must prove your worthyness of the sickness. I hear the order must be done completely in fluent japanese since there are words you will need to use thats awsomeness simply cannot be conveyed via the english language.

A touge down Mt. Fuji then ensues after said sickness is aquired and you must complete the run quicker than a certain time or the sickness is revoked. Ya dig?

Brett already knew this, he has 1J sickness and now young grasshopper i am passing the knowlege onto you.

There are ninjas and shit involved somewhere too but i give no fark for them, i smash the knts.

ive got a mate that does drifting, he has one an just has a garrett gt3076,cams,MoTeC,injectors, pump, fmic an sick ass tune an made 260rwk on std bottom end but the car only is used for drifting an the engine only lasted a meet.im sure it was on 20psi boost

Tim needs a little more reliability than that, 190-225rwkw is about all he needs. GT3076 would be a good choice though.

GT2871R.

That red 180 you posted a pic of earlier is making 255rwkw on standard bottom end, moving up a little bit... and I think it has a set of cams, and that's about it I'm pretty sure.

Yeah for much over 200-220rwkw cams and rocker stoppers are required.

Cams would be required for that much power on the stock turbo I would think, rocker stoppers are a good investment at any power level for SR20 and will be included in the first shopping list when money is available.

I think so, if I can find one that is. Power FC for s14 sr20det is now discontinued so buying new is not an option anymore.

Thanks nothin suss, I have seen Nigel's cars in the build over at nissansilvia.com.

I saw the thread on the Z32 gearbox conversion the other day, very interesting. If I happen to break the SR gearbox I'll definitely be looking into that.
The problem with the sizes of the wheels that you mentioned Nigel has for sale is that they don't fit very nicely under standard guards without major work and more neg camber than I'm willing to run on a daily driver.

Hey guys, swapped the S14 for an R33. It looks like this.

Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

I like it.
The s14 was a great car but I needed some more room and wanted rb25 gearbox so this was the obvious choice.
Did a straight swap for the s14, this car came with KAAZ, clutch, GReddy front mount, 3" stainless exhaust, Tein HR coilovers (jap spec, not Ausy, way too stiff), some gay 17" wheels, R32 GTR seats, Nismo gear shift nob, gay turbosmart boost-T, Plasmaman plenum, Koyo alloy radiator, HKS mushroom air filter, tint and PowerFC. Also provided in the deal was a new unused genuine HKS GT-RS with rb25 fitting kit and new 555cc side feed injectors.

Going to fit GT-RS and injectors soon as I buy an electronic boost controller and fuel pump for it then go to dyno and hopefully make 350rwhp and still have great response. Currently only has 212rwhp, 10psi from std turbo.

Thanks KR1STO. Got the car out to Archerfield drift practise last night, went pretty well. It had a tune with the standard turbo and injectors etc. a couple of weeks ago and made 230rwhp on 12psi, safe as houses was my main requirement for the tune.
Pretty happy with it last night apart from the lack of traction with the old 16" tyres I had on the back, didn't want to have to buy Malakai new tyres for his drifteks.
