Love this 'lane mate.
IMO it looked the best on the weld wheels, have you still got em?
Engine plans sound good mate.
I'd look for a low km AU XR8 motor for the donor bottom end. Sell off thetop end in pieces and pretty much get all your money back = free low km bottom end.

thanks jeff,
the draglites are now up in cairns somewhere (sold a while back) but will be getting something in the same style....
i'm looking at centreline wheel's, either convo pro's or rev's.

Image
Image

may even end up with draglite's (again) they'd look alot better on it at the hight it's at now.
as for the engine.....it's giving me the shits......all these part's & no cash to get them installed :glare:
i'm just going to put them in the current motor & see how we go from there i think.

this post should be in the "drunk" thread, after a few brew's.... i had an idea to spalsh some paint on the "lane rim's
boredom/alcahol/idea/2am= fail :banghead:
bad prep made the paint wrinkle (after all that taping) :glare: ......two came out ok,
i've just painted (dark metalic grey) where it used to be silver.

Image

i think i'll just sand them back & paint the whole lot......as there only stockie's anyway !

the LTD looks so fucking classy, custom scoop blends well, the rear shot you posted looks tough as

im not loving the new wheel scheme though, it looks very bad honestly...... i reckon some DL 16" or polished concordes would suit the car nicely

 that was my plan to :this:
but with some cheap part's through the forum's, i should do ok :good:
as i've said before, if i had my time again to get more hp ..... i would've got a 6 cyl & boosted it ! (alot cheaper)
but at the end of the day i'm a V8 die hard (hard on the wallet) & you can't beat a V8 rumble :drinks2:
the learning curve from "old v's new" V8's has been steep,
some of the part's i first got would be NFG for my build  & you would've seen them on the "for sale" thread :glare:
hence... bigger is not always better !
i'm getting a grip on the newer stuff & will be better prep'd for the next car
