Been a while since i put anything here. Few months ago it spat the head so had that replaced. Got it all roadworthy and transferred the other week ( hey I'm slack ).

Anyway slight change of plans from the "not gonna spend any money on it" idea.
Picked up an el xr6 front cheap. Needs some little repairs but couldn't pass it up
Also put some el futura hubcaps on it. Just need to get some time to rip it all apart and swap stuff over ( the el ghia side moulds and a few straighter panels to put on. ) then will lower it and get it pro detailed. Should look decent.

Am maybe after el xr6 bonnet and boot with the bigger spoiler in white preferably but in no hurry
Don't know if I want to go ticky kit or not (have no plans for big wheels so would look weird with hubcaps and kit I reckon)

the EL XR bar i got was split in half and the top piece had a large dent above the split so i made the decision to repair the top piece and fit it to my original bumper.. took it to work and got the dent out, then sanded primed and painted it.
didnt get any before pics unfortunantly.

got stuck into fitting it all up today,
ripped the front off and cut the ef section off the bar to suit the XR top bit.
fitted the XR bar reo (has cutouts to suit XR top piece) then fitted the bar and top piece on..
still have to modify the loom a little as im doing a HID retrofit (using balasts and projectors from a pair of chrysler 300C headlights) so will do that tomorrow if i get a chance

should be able to finish up pretty much tomorrow

finished the front today
bar could do with better alignment but will need to attach the xr upper piece to the bar with urethane first... also need to plastic weld on a mount on the edge that bolts to the guard under the indicator as it was missing but is all good enough for now
temporarily mounted the HID balasts behind the bar reo.. will make up some proper sealed covers for them later..
just need to adjust the lights when its dark now, will do it another day.

If you can play around with the bumper the way you already have, then the doors will be piss easy, don't worry!
