No probs, it was worth a go trying to flog off the last of my spares :P

EA lights/garnishes look better on EAs in my opinion

They're different to EA lights, and you could always whack non-Fairmont badge there off any EB-ED (XR6, GLi, GL, S)

krazyea fitted some to his previous car (EA) iirc

I was lying in bed last night and remembered there being a tube of touch up paint in the glove box. Went and checked this morning and I was either imagining shit, or I moved it somewhere. I dunno why I'd move it anywhere so I was probably imagining it.

Pulling the neons out tomorrow, giving them to my friend for her birthday. For the lulz. She drives a Suzuki Alto, all the interior lights in there are red. I don't think it would look horrible with the red neons in it, for a girl's car.

Neons are out. Had to leave all the wiring in it for the moment because I need to take out the centre console. I'll do that when I can actually stand.

It is pretty filthy in them photos though but they're all I've got it. Going to Vic Roads on Monday to get my hazards, gonna get an unregistered vehicle permit as well and Dad's gonna help me get a RWC.
I'm trying to buy some EL door handles atm as well. Also got a sub and amp lined up on the cheap.

The car should be pretty clean by next week though. We've got visitors coming, they're lesbians, and I made a bet with them on the grand final and now they have to wash it.

Went to start her up this morning to take her down to Traf for a roadworthy check but it wouldn't start. The battery wasn't working at all, but it was 2 days earlier, it had plenty of charge. Now there's not enough charge to even spark when I shorted it. It won't charge either, which I found really weird. I'll have to pick up a new battery on the weekend.

Re: InfernalTyrant's EA

Postby InfernalTyrant » February 17th, 2011, 10:02 pm

Had the car at my step brother's garage today. Things they picked up on were:
  1. Won't idle
  2. Battery hold down
  3. Wheels are too big
  4. Window tint is too dark
  5. Number plate lights don't work
  6. Windscreen wipers don't work
  7. Rust in RR wheel arch
  8. All tyres worn on the inside
  9. Noise pollution

Fixed the battery clamp, peeled off the window tint, fixed the number plate lights, fixed the wipers, grinded out the rust and bogged and primed it. We put it up on the hoist and the exhaust and muffler was all cracked and had a few holes in it. Got a new one in and are putting it on tomorrow. Gonna borrow some stockies for the roadworthy and then whack the 18"s back on. Know a bloke who had an EL ECU as well so he's bringing that in for me tomorrow, then it should at least idle alright and be good for the RWC.

My bro knew what colour it was too, it's called "Marine Blue" and the code is P2. No idea why the K is stamped on it, meaning Monza Red. It was clearly never red.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I don't know any reason why somebody would swap plates other than the car is stolen, though.
