EF/EL Dash/Door trims with ED Ghia seats is about the best factory combo you'll get.

as for the AU/BA/FG dash, anything can go in with enough cutting.
its been done before!

well yeah that's true, iv'e heard of a few people pulling off a BA dash into an EF/EL but that would be for another day :P. I'm just curious about any modification that needs to be done to fit in the EL dash, i heard a few mounts need to be modified.

kyle your seats are fking mint, they shit on ef/el lether

Alright ill give a bit of an update, as per a few of my post's my engine started failing so it came off the road. While it is off the road I have decided to get a few mods underway but have been delayed due to shit weather and motivation. So with my grant money im going to get my NL Ghia dash conversion and speed sensitive steering underway, along with a new clutch.

I have already purchased my new motor, it is a Series 3 AU XR6HP Motor with 90,000km on it (thanks Tristan), I am hoping to rip my old motor out this weekend (Thanks to Dan for lending me a crane) and give the engine bay a tidy up and rip out all of the looms. I am still undecided on leaving the dual fuel in with the new motor but I am thinking at this stage I will leave it on and give it a decent tune at CVE with the use of a J3 chip.

Also in the works is a new exhaust system along with headers, just gotta find and get some quotes. Depending on cashflow I am hoping to have it all back up and running in the next month, and on a new note it finally have some mags courtesy of Joel (NL_CONCORDE). I don't have a pic at the moment handy but will post up one soon, they are 17" AMG Quakes.

The LPG just needs a good tune by the sound of it, on my old EA it use to run beter on LPG than it did on Petrol, it just had a good tune

I guess it really depends on how much driving you do Kyle. Personally I use PT during the week to get to work, so my car sits in my driveway for at least 3 days a week. With a good tune on petrol, you can get good mileage out of these motors, especially a good AU motor which you seem to have picked up. Plus, it wont be so heavy with the gas tank pretty much sitting right over your diff! Just my 2c mate!

I'd set everything up for Dual Fuel... Easier to do when you're installing all the near shit.
worst case is you pull it out later.

All you need to do is swap throttle body anyway to get rid of it.

Well I remember on the old motor before I put the car on gas, I got 600km out of one tank on the GOR Cruise now with a tank of gas on the highway and city i get about 370, that's why I want to get a tune done, I spoke to Paul at CVE about it and he said something can be definitely done about that so I get much better on the highway and just as good on cruise, and with the work of a J3 chip he can put 2 tunes on it, one being for Gas and one being for Petrol so I get the best of both worlds.

I think my loss of performance in the end wasn't all the gas but mainly the fact of my motor starting to wear out, plus having a bigger cam with no extractors :P.

Cheers for the feedback though guys :)

I'd keep it on fuel Kyle. You probably only getting bad economy in the car due to your driving habbits, be honest you give that car a hiding.

i'd leave it on lpg. i give mine a hiding and i still get about 400k's out of the tank still. (but most of my driving is hwy)

but tuning does seem to play a part in it though. cos if its running rich at idle etc you will use more than a system thats been setup correctly.

The Lane great to cruise likes to rev above 6000rpm and still gettin 350k's outta gas un serviced not tuned and gettin treated like a drift car

So gas aint to bad i get more power on fuel but dont rev past 5700rpm

well yeh thats it, and u got a tickford motor in yours, i guess once i get it all up and running, give it a good tune it should be mickey mouse, but then again the engine was probably getting tired. 270,000km and my driving style probably wasn't doing it any favors.

i was telling dad and he thinks that for that much carbon to be there either it was overfuleing like crazy or you were sucking oil past the rings at a quick rate.

dad saw the head and said the motor would of been overfueling.. so theres something amiss with a sensor or whoever tuned it set it rich as fark

Hey Kyle

Just had a read through the whole thread.

You are making great headway with all your mods. Well done.

I would recommend leaving the ED Ghia seats in as they work really well with the NL interior. And you won't find a nicer seat.

Keep up the good work.

Yeah I agree with you Ben. The car has come a long way and it will be an awesome car when finished but I think he is changing the seats due to wear on drivers seat but for 14 year old seats they are pretty mint still and I think he should keep them too
