You will never want to drive an E-Series again after that though....

Right you are, they are Drifteks. I don't even have any Fords at all anymore, I highly doubt I'll ever have another one either. No Ford can compete with what this car can do.

I reckon OED666's ED would keep that thing honest over a mountain. The lack of turbo would give the 33 a chance ;)

RS200 is Escort yes? You'd be right there if it was the one that races at Lakeside, that thing is spastic, big dollar car though.

Anytime OED is keen, I'm keen.

Will be nice when I can get the GT-RS, injectors and new dump/front pipe on it and tune again. Should be another 100rwhp or so.

Sweet sweet sweet. How did you convince the missus that a spastic 2 dr drifting dosing skyline is a great family car? I need you to teach me a few things about sweet talking wives!

Not a real lot of power for 12psi hey? I no i wouldnt be happy if my ford motor made that,Stock or not.
These motors dont make as much power i guess? They still go great though

There's no competition at powercruise gozza. The drifting portion of the weekend is a joke, sitting in a line up in the middle of the day waiting for retards in kingswoods to spin out 7 times only to then get only two runs in, GAY!

I may not even be entering powercruise this year, I got a grand total of about 45mins track time all weekend last year, thats not worth the entry fee if you ask me.
I can pay the same amount of money and go to private track days at QR and get 4 hours of track time (drifting only) and they drift turn one and two on those days which you don't get to do at anything else. Or there's $50 for 3-4 hours track time at Archerfield every Wednesday night.
Powercruise is for suckers it seems, though I will at least be there to spectate.

Drew, this is not the family car. She has an '07 Camry for that.

It's' only 2.5L remember, plus they weigh less than a falcon and deliver power to the ground totally differently.

Ah I see, nice work there Tim. My falcon certainly looses street cred when you see fluffy toys hanging from the handles on the roof and stuffed teddy bears on the back seat.

According to Wiki there is only a 7% difference in weight between a 33 GTS-T and an ED Gli (94kg). Hardly worth mentioning when there is a 62% capacity advantage in the falcons favour...

Nice shots, I love how much more angle these cars can get over our peices of shit.

Although I agree the skyline would be much nicer around a track, i think it comes down to the driver most of the times!

i was going to get one of these ive looked at a couple as theyre easy to make drift but from all these posts starting to think of doing a falcon again.
hmmm decisions.
is this a series 1?
that does seem low my mates has 10psi and makes 180rwkw without a tune?
the factory tune is safe tho the afr's are quite good.
cheers josh.

EBOOST, if you take people's opinions from a Falcon forum, you'll end up doing another falcon. If you were to ask the question at Skylines Australia forums, they'd convince you to get a Skyline. You need to make the choice for yourself.
Also I'd believe your mate has a dyno sheet for that, dyno's differ from each other so much, they're a tuning tool.

We could throw banter back and forth forever, falcon lovers will still love falcons and I'll still love this car.

Dan, win or loose, I'm just about always up for a Nebo run.

LOL obviously he cant drive or wasnt giving it any shit. ive raced a skyline with 250rwkw's and i had a ba with 300rwkw's and i smashed it by about 3 car lenghts to 200.
and theres not much diff weight between a skyline and a ed falcon as he said 96 kilos, which is fark all mate.

The only race that I recall that wasn't against matt (btw his car is auto, and I beat him wheelspinning by a car length to 80ish) was with you, which was when I was in forth doing 90ish and I put my foot down to overtake someone and I realised you nailed it next to me, so I put my foot down the rest of the way and pulled a good couple of carlengths by 160ish.

If you don't believe me, ask pearse. Because we both said you car goes fairly well. I'm sure if I went back to 3rd (which tops out at 160) I would have pulled a fair bit more.

If you have any other examples refresh my memory?

Well if you weren't racing the two or three times we had a run on the way to Springwood about two weeks ago, your car certainly sounds like it's racing when it's not.
No matter, I'm keen to go again. Just don't be so keen to leave so early on a Thursday night and we'll cruise with you.
Funny, you didn't argue with me on the night when I mentioned it, maybe you didn't here what I said, never mind.

i always chuckle a bit when people talk of power out of RB20, RB25 and in some cases RB30s.
10-12psi in a falcon nets some pretty farkn good results, but the same in one of the above motors - not so much.
but as tim said, they deliver power in a different way and the RB25 loves to be revved with some big cams in it.
the 4l puts out power vs boost almost on the same scale as a 2jz, so cant really compare the power output of the 2.

im sure the skyline would feel alot fast as you could probly drive it faster easier lol
if by some chance you need to replace the bottom end tim, put in an RB30e bottom end :)
with the RB25 head it will drop compression to turbo friendly and will be good for around 300rwkw.
cant complain when they cost $50 for a long engine lol

I had a look at doing an RB30DET or RB30/25 in preparation for one day if this motor happens to expire but there's quite a bit work involved to make it work. RB30E with RB26 head is much easier to do but 26 heads are not so cheap or available.
There's a guy a the sunshine coast who's put an RB30ET (single cam head) into his R32 with a GT35R making a pretty responsive 400 or so rwhp but something in my head keeps telling me that going back to a single cam head when I already have twin cam is a down grade.
I suppose I'll make the decision when the time comes, if it does, I don't plan to push this motor very hard, the rev limit is kept to 6800rpm and only looking for about 330rwhp with the GT-RS so hopefully it'll be reliable for quite some time.

changing the head would be the gay, new manifolds, new looms etc
but the bottom end is just a ghetto tid bit, i love telling people with skylines they can use a $50 bottom end and gain power and capacity lol
i then get a reply like 'nah im going to buy these - insert over priced jap car parts here -

nice swap btw being on topic, to be honnest R33's are my least favourate out of all skylines but thats IMO, its faster in a staight line than the lex but id like to have a crack at neibo for that exact reason, HP means squat.
