cheers guys :drinks2:

im pretty stuck on what else i can do to it visually, im gonna get it tinted, but after that i think anything else will make it look worse.

oh, maybe a el ticky kit, but not really enough of a change to warrant the cost.

haha, theyre just stacked up in a corner of my garage now. im thinking of getting them refurbished, theyve picked up a lot of annoying marks, and it would be good to have them mint.
i always had a thought they were cheaply made chinese rims, but damn ive smacked into some killer potholes in the last few weeks, and theyre still straight and uncracked, im impressed.

that sucks big time :(

house mate got rear ended (been givin him so many gay jokes) on monday in his vy crummydore, didnt look that bad to me but apparently bits are bent that shouldnt be bent underneath. they're writing that off... so with out seeing the damage, i dont like the chances of it being repairable unfortunately :(

such a nice car too

yeah, im not confident at all.

no pics yet, il try and get some tomorrow.

its still drivable, and doesnt look that bad, but when you start looking close i think its gonna be a write off.

redbook value is only $1800-4100 for one of these, and while mine should come in at the top end of that range its wont take much for the repair bill to match that.

but im gonna push as hard as i can to get it repaired, one i love the old girl, and two, i cant afford to replace it with something better.

damage really doesnt look that bad, but im still not at all confident they will fix it... i mean, it needs actual panel beating, not just unbolt bolt on panels. it wont be hard for the repair cost to go close to, or over its value.

sucks balls that you got hit mate, i have had enough of the douche drivers round wodonga...almost been hit so many times in the last few weeks...you might be lucky with the repairs costing less than you think, again depending on undercarriage damage. i was loving the look of the car too, it looks fkn awesome hope that it gets repaired not written off...

good luck mate

cheers, i am half hoping im just being really pessimistic about it...

it was a 2wd hilux that hit me, and most of the impact is above the bumper, so im hoping any damage underneath is minimal.

fingers crossed.

quote came in at $3200.

all my optimism from yesterday just evaporated lol. :banghead: its gonna come down to what racq value it at.

the only good bit is the panelbeater was saying racq has thrown out the usual 'if repair exceeds a certain % of value its a write off', he reckons theyre repairing a lot more since the floods that would have been write offs normally. if they can save 1-2k repairing a vehicle rather than writing it off then thats what theyre doing.

cheers guys, id like personalised plates but we all know what a rort they are in qld for full custom ones...

there's a couple of small exterior changes to come but largely it will stay as it is now, be too easy to make it look shit with the wrong mods i reckon.

drive-line wise im gonna start at the back and work my way forward, starting with a 4.11 au lsd diff. unsure what i want to do engine wise which is why im leaving it alone for now.
