ok so an update to the machine...

After ebaying for a 5 speed conversion for a while now, i finally got one, perfect price and perfect location, $615 for the whole kit, gearbox,clutch assembly,tail shaft,el xr6 ecu, center console,pedal box.. you no everything.. im bloody stoked, going to pick it up tomorrow hopefully, then should be having a bash at fitting it next weekend, gotta get myself a spigot bearing and have been told that a malwood clutch pedal pin is the way to go, instead of removing everything for the bloody pedal box haha!

anyway thats about it for now, will keep you posted

ok so an update, no pics yet...
well no pics needed, the falcon is now manual! started about 9am finished about 6pm, would had all the gearbox and shit in by 12, spent the rest of that day absolutely FARKING around with the pedal box, oh my god what a mission that is, i will never do another manual conversion if a pedal box is involved, apart from that everything seems to be good, somehow my globes in my cluster are blown, well revs and fuel, probably from piss farting around with the dash,
Anyway, nothing much else to say

an update to my last post, my speedo is like 20 k's out i think, went onto the highway (100 zone) and my speedo was roughly on 80 and yet i was driving nicely around everyone,
do i need to swap the speedo cable and that over from my auto box to manual box?

yeah its VHT nightshades, from super cheap about 20 bucks a can,

to another add ive been out cruising tonight, raced a few people haha, mostly schoolie kids in there p plate stock pulsars and that, however i did race a guy in an auto bf xr8, so i think it was, and i bloody kept up till the 60k speed limit then backed off hahaha, probably wasnt even trying

anyway its off to bed for me

spent a bit this morning cleaning the car, gave it a quick polish too, came up alright,

also got some mesh from super cheap and made a basic grill for the bottom,

went down to super cheap the other day and picked up these babies for 60 bucks! saw them in the catalogue, instantly thought they would be that really cheap feeling stuff, turns out there pretty good!

I hate you. You've done (exterior) stuff to your EL that I want to and it looks good. It'll be interesting to see who's EL is quicker. By rights it should be yours.

Pick up a set of fairlane driving lights for the front.

I'm not a fan of leaving those round holes in the front spoiler 'empty'. It just looks like somethings missing.

But i am loving the tickford bodykit, really does suit the car!!

yeah haha thought i would join up there see what they do around the gold coast area...
and got them for $1600 delivered with Nexen N3000's off ebay, shop called Wheelmags, dont no if there still operating or not?

Okay well bit of an update, went to bunnings, picked up a few connectors and some 3 inch pvc piping and made an intake pipe

rough paint job but ignore that... and notice a butchered motorbike tube/silicone joiner hahaha

and took a pic of mine and the missus' ford
