Theres bigger airboxes for these on ebay, not sure how much better they are, but there similar to the G&D boxes the use on BA's.

iv had couple mates have issues with the gilmer belt drives.
fucking up alternators and power steering pumps n shit.
dunno how or why.

yeah the airbox's on ebay i have one in my au fitment is great and mine made 210rwkw which was the highest number on its 13th run or something then held that for 2 or 3 runs after so heat is not a big factor if u ask me.
my tuner was paying out on it a bit when i took it in but i recon it did really well getting run after run with changes inbetween and not having much signs of heat soak.
theyre made of plastic thats why he thought it would suffer heat soak.

Really? How far back is it mounted? So 8 cylinders of gas flow out of the headers, to a single cat? Is it a big hi-flow one?

+1 for no shaker as well. I reckon this car would look great with the new paint, sounding tuff and some silver Territory 17" interceptors all round, widened at the rear, big brake kit hidden behind. Nice and simple.. Just my opinion. Good luck with it all mate.

Curious to know how you will do a gilmer setup, must say I have not seen a serpentine changed to gilmer, does that mean you will have to change water pump direction ?

mate it will make 150 with ease as soon as you get bigger maf and a tune.

also dont know of any eseries with gilmers.
only x series and vl's that iv personally seen

5l ford belt setup is simular to holden v6 belt setup.
To make it gilmer will be quite a feat !
To me I don't see why you would do gilmer and then v belt for p/steer.
personally I say do all or none.
However you can get nice polished serpentine pullies for a nicer look, and some are even underdrives !

Just take the belt off and start spinning pulleys, one by one... Alternator bearings are pretty common too.
