Gday my names brent, im new to this but im mates with the diff workshop crew.

I brought my 6 speed XR6T in 2006 since then ive done the mods as follows:

Full Atomic Motor, including 650kw rods, atomic pistons, atomic 276 series cams, valve springs etc..

Nizpro plenum, Nizpro front mount, with custom cooler piping and CAI

Modded Wastegate, with 12psi actuator

Full xforce exhaust, twin 2 1/2" series one....

Twin plate clutch..

Seimens 60lb injectors, walbro 500hp intank pump, 700hp external feed

Theres alot more done, but i cbf typing.

Its currently making 377rwkw on 17psi, but it has a manual bleed valve, as soon as it reaches 4000rpm, the boost bleeds off to about 13-14psi.

future plans are 20" black wheels, e-boost 2 with retune at 22psi, fully built c4 by al's race glides, sunroof, airbags, and depending on how much power it makes maybe a bigger turbo setup

what are you on about?? airbags are fine for the strip. plenty of fast cars out there with bags. i know of at least 2 cars in the 10s with bags.......
as for crusin a C4 is an auto no gear changes no clutch great for cruisin and lazy driving.....
good on the highway too as the final drive on a C4 is 1:1 just like 5th in a T56. :clapping:

So this got delivered to my house today, it's not looking good :(

Image

Image

Image

Image

Poor thing is looking shocking :( it blew a turbo about year and a half ago and Brent just bought a trucking business and couldn't afford to fix it. So in storage it sat! Now his business is going well, its time for some lovin.

Thank god he ditched the vaults, so he's pretty keen on xr50t wheels now. New turbo going on, new clutch (probably mal wood) new cooler (he's got my one from my BA) new springs and changing the gauge holder to a triple one.

The motor is coming out to be re-ringed, and new timing gear fitted.

Progress pics up soon!

Lol I'm already planning on fucking shit up haha!

The motors done 45000k's but most of that was a dodgy tune that overfueled while cruising.

It's not even that bad, 10000k's and it uses about 1 litre.

Ahh true? Maybe is pretty common then? Oh well lol, he's got a bit of money to burn anyway, and the motor has to come out anyway haha.

Just another standard turbo with modded wastegate. I've convinced him to wind the boost in till it stops making power haha.

Can someone move this to in the build please? Cheers :)

What do you mean "yet" another atomic motor?

It's the same motor, it's just getting new rings and bearings with a new balance up.

I gave the engine builder a hand to pull the head off last night, everything seems pretty good.

The reason it's getting a full rebuild is the balancer fucked out which flogged out the key way on the crank. Expensive lesson to Brent, dont drive a car with a stuffed balancer haha.

Still waiting for the motor to be balanced.

So with some help from ziracon yesterday we painted the rocker cover and plenum in 2pac Jett black.

The rocker cover turned out awesome but the plenum has to many casting marks for the colour to pop.. And I CBF polishing it haha.
