hit another car right up the arse at 60kms (they had no brake lights) its insured with shannons with the turbo,so i assume there will be no problems,but it hasnt been assessed yet.im going to buy it back and do a new build,so im looking for a MINT ef or el fairmont or xr if anyone knows of any

SO shannons know its not engineered and they still insured you?
Also how can you prove that the car infront had no brake lights? (thats assuming you didn't smash its rear lights)..
I saw a taxi the other day with no rear lights on in the car...just wanted to know how legal implications would go

its not fixable,well it'll be a repairable write off,but it wont be repaired.i'm looking forward to a new build,but very sad about this car. i live in maffra so its not ever been parked on cathies lane

If the brake lights are on when the accident occurs the filaments in the globes stretch from the impact. If they aren't working or aren't illuminated then they will be either normal size (wiring fault) or broken.
I learnt that from watching that Major Collision Unit show lol.

also even if the lens is smashed they can put in new globes cos if theres no brake lights its most likely a sticking switch or blown fuse anyway

so it got assessed today,its a repairable write off.i bought it back for $2000 and now i get to look for a new toy,i will have a for sale thread coming up soon

what do you want from it?selling everything except engine/turbo stuff and keeping the body kit untill i have a new car incase i dont get one with a body kit,also keeping sequential scoop.selling 5 speed conversion,el xr6 manual computer,3.45 diff, interior ect
