That's MrsGhia's car (BI6TIM's wife), it is fricken mint, and also unanimously won the most slammed car at the shoot, and he has even raised it a little since getting the car about a month ago. They're driving that at the moment while Tim's Green ED gets massively turbo charged.

Also of interesting note the shot of all the cars together at the industrial estate are in order of build date. Starting with the Brock EA and my AIT EA both sharing April 89 (actually they're only a few thousand builds apart going by VIN) all the way up to the V8 Fairlane from 98 on the other end. Almost 10 years of E-Series represented yesterday.

I am no professional photographer but I can safely say they turned out pretty well...

I am not sure about rollin' havin crabs, can't really comment

It's weird having the last car in the series, infact alot of having a v-8 and still only being on L's is weird/retarded...

seeing the plates in the pics must make you guys chuckle (I hope not embarassed though to have me in the club  )

Not at all. We've had some pretty lame excuses from people not attending meets. You needed to bring a fully licenced driver and come from the south side to be able to join in and you still made it. That amount of enthusiasm should be the new benchmark, and anyone who doesn't come in the future can be compared to your effort.

here are a few pics that I don't think I added already...

I really had to laugh at the "new benchmark" that I set

I have really been trying heaps to meet up with you guys over the past few months and by hook or by crook I was gonna come to this event. I will try and come every 2nd thrusday if it is possible for me to make it too with my brother (although he has a caprice he is trying to put all ford parts in it :) )

The lane is currently sitting around 3 inches lower on King's srpings. I am thinking of changing them to super/ultra lows and chcuking on 19" XHP "jet" rims. *drools*

I really wanna try and have a few more performance mods under the hood by the end of next year, I will most likely be a first year apprentice so sarcifices will have to be made, but I think we all agree that such a nice car is a worthy cause.

hey you forgot mine....

oh yeaaa 8-) lol

dump the lane on its ass. the way they're supposed to look.
i jus bought superlows for my 'lane but im gonna chop the rears. yet to put the fronts in so i dont know how they sit.

hey BT, how did your wifes pics turn out?

yeah I will fully dump it when I fully own it :D

I put a pic of those mags up there because they are the ones I wanna put on it (when I get the dosh of course)

so when is this drag being planned... oh and how do you think the car sounded (if you heard it)

The car sounds sweet has a nice menacing idle to it, you need an explorer manifold, gt-40p's, AU tb, 76mm maf and a mechanical shift kit asap though. That will get her moving along quite nicely :D

it has genie extractors already.... whats the rest of the stuff you're talking about though?

To put it simply the HO Windsor that is in the the Fairlane (or any e series V8 except the GT's, FBT and Sprint) leaves alot to be desired with a poorly flowing intake manifold and heads as well as a rediculiously small mass air flow sensor and throttle body which can all be substituted for AU versions of these parts which are 10000x better and will make it soooo much better!

Re: QLD SANDGATE CRUISE PICS

PostPosted: October 16th, 2007, 9:17 pm
by 98NLFAIRLANE
yeah I know the windsor has potential... I keep looking at the tiny arse intake and thinking "WTF"

Where can I pick up AU parts like that and do you know any estimates on prices for some of the parts.

The next thing I have been looking at is just something simple like a K & N racing filter. My mate is buying me a sound system, he has ordered me a set of sledge hammers, the next series down from the jack hammer, the largest sub in the world :D:D:D

but yeah, seeing as I am a full time student and don't have time for a job just yet, it's hard to save, have a social life etc...

by the way, what do you think of those mags, I quite like the XHP's, they are about $1200 without rubber...

oh and rollin if u read this, how much are you flogginf your burnout (3 quakes) for???

how easy is it to do a burn out in the lane too? I wanna take it on a DYNO run to see what it has before I start modifying it, but yeah, it also seemed to be lagging on sunday, what could be making it do that????

Hey Guys,

The pictures that I took are on an old school SLR that uses film I haven't had a chance yet to go to a shop to get them developed... I used nearly 2 colour film rolls and 1 Black and White one... I am hoping that they turn out good... I can't remember if you can get the pictures put onto a cd or not as it's been awhile since I got a film developed... Will post them as soon as I get them developed will be sometime before this weekend.
