Okay so I'm thinking of getting a wade turbo cam and getting my rocker train machined to suit I rather machine rocker train then double shim my lifters! Works out about the same price anyhow
So will I get much of a gain out of a standard engine with just putting turbo cam in all not really?

No idea about the coils, but the best leads you can get are Bosch black jobbies from Super Cheap. I shit you not.

Turbo cam will help the engine breathe a bit better, so you'll make more power on the same boost, or the same power needing less boost.

Not needed on a standard engine really, unless you're planning on really really pressing your luck with it.

Wasted opurtunity? It's early stages in the build guys don't get ahead of yourself
they didn't build Rome in 1 day!!!
It's getting a wolf v550 plug in
But tbh I just wanna get my new engine get it tuned by a j3 enjoy it for abit then chase power I've only had this car 13momths n only started modding it the last 6 months so im happy with how it's going n it defs won't have wasted opurtunitys
Mind you this cars a hobbie it's in no rush n I will make sure it's 100% but I won't spend stupid amounts of money on it remember its an el falcon like seriously what's it worth? The car already owes me alot paint was 5500 bare metal redpray with all parts which it needed new bonnet n bulge, rear bar, front bar lip, sunroof mould, windscreen, headlights and more
Car was 2k
Turbo kit no idea what I've spent there probs 4k
Clutch 550
Diff will be getting its 2nd rebuild
Exhaust stainless steel full system $950
High energy sump $250
Intercooler n pipes unknown probs $500 give all take
N hey I have no loans

Your lucky it wasn't the motor. Don't no how many times it has to be said on here not to trash your car without a tune, I wouldn't even take the risk of driving it let alone trashing it.
Looking good anyway!

So that the tune will be close when you put the new motor in, and you'll be able to touch up the tune then run it in hard, which is the best way to run in a motor.

Idling around pig rich with no spark advance (or lean with too much spark or any combination) won't let the rings bed in properly and your motor will be gay. Yes, it WILL prefer boys.

The cars not getting driven until new engine as it burns oil n I wouldn't wanna drive it as it could **** my cat my new engine will only be costing me roughly 2k so not a big deal if it blows up I'm probs building it back to front upside down but **** it!! Im having a go I built it myself n it hasn't blown the engine yet i no it needs a tune as I can only drive it half throttle otherwise it pings but I never actually drive the car it sits in my factory on a hoist 7days a week I only drove it other day as it got exhaust!!

I appreciate all your comments n regards but a engine that was fucked before I started I don't no how many times I have to say it but I threw it on to make sure it all fits n works make intercooler exhaust etc n I'm glad I did as my manifold needs to be decked now and i no the turbo n setup goes good it gave me extra motivation to finish/do it so at the end of the day it's not that bad
Main thing is I'm happy and if I wasn't off work for 3months with a Brocken hand the car would be done I'm currently living on my car funds and I'm currently in Queensland n I live in vic I planned a holiday for ages so unfortunately funds for car are tight ATM

Also **** off grammar police if its to hard to read don't comment as I don't give a **** and I'm pretty much over this forum ATM anyhow been pretty shit I only post on hear to show progress for people that are interested I don't really care and people are just judging n telling me constantly to tune it trust me if I had the money I would tune it but I'm sure u would all struggle With money if you had no income I had to sell my landcruiser n now my diffs blown I'm quiet pissed of with everything ATM!!
So before you post get a tune if it was that simple I would!!

If you're struggling to finish it start listening to people and stop acting like you do have money to blow.
Its not sexy when you don't have the money to back it.

You'll be fine mate.
