BA XR6T - 480rwkw+ - Currently @ 10.05. 9s knocking in Oct13

So i have 2004 BA XR6T. Bought it for 13k, had 300rwkw.

Took it to AVO in cheltenham, dropped $7g on cooler kit, capa box, tune, injectors etc. Blew the motor 6 hours later. AVO said it was cause i was punchign it with only 1/4 tank of fuel. It surged they told mee. Piston through sump.

Found a BF F6 TORNADO motor 2007 with 18,000km's. Bought it and put it in. Hence i call my car XR6Tornado. (im aware its the same motor as a normal F6).

Anyway, as the car stands now, mods are:

* BF 2007 TORNADO motor (18,000km's)
* Tinted windows
* Premium sound
* Bigger PBR Brakes all round
* 18" black HPF 5 spoke rimms with chrome lip
* 245/40/18 Nitto NT05 semi slicks on rear
* Lowered Kings SL and SSLs (soon to compress)
* BF GT Frontbar with mesh
* Monza filter on stock BOV (for fully sick fluttering)
* Calibra air filter on oil breather next to throttle body
* Bayswater built Auto + transcooler + quickshift with a custom built 3200rpm TCE Converter
* Plazmaman 1000hp full 3" Intercooler Kit in stealth black
* 60lb Deka Injectors
* CAPA Flash @ 19psi (only run 100 octane @ United)
* Bigbore 4" in/out dump pipe > 100cell race cat > 3.5" APS Exhaust
* 4" Nizpro airbox induction + nizpro battery relocation kit
* Walbro intank fuel pump
* Process West MkII silent surge tank + boche 440 fuel pump
* Turbo modded + ported + flapper
* 18psi actuator

* Awaiting a SPECIALTune. I will update engine and external images after i get car back. But here is a teaser. EST Power? Fair bit.

Picked this up for $1000! Cant go wrong!

This is my daily driver. Bought it for $1000 on 24th Feb 2010. I put 17's on it, lowered it and about to do the tint. Will take new photos when i cbf. Here is how i bought it

* Should push 170rwkw now with new setup - No turbo/Super charger! (ill dyno it when i get a chance)

This thing is awesome lol! I rip people in my daily...good for laughs. I need to minispool it some day.
And yes, my intake is IN TACK. looks gay but its awesome. Should here it whistle...

sorry but i find it hard to believe that your EB is making 200kw at the engine with a wade 1604...
max you will get out of one is 130rwkw in a manual

200 engine kw is not out of the question with 130 at the wheels - stock that's a gain of 53fwkw, which by the time it gets to the wheels could drop to 30. Regardless, it probably goes pretty good with the gear it has.

The BA probably goes pretty good too....

you would be suprised how many people argue it. Its like abusing ford and holden for putting badges and stickers on their cars or HP-F and other places who put '400kw package!' and peopel say its missleading.

bout 320rwkw on the AVO dyno.

i had the built gbox and big stall converter on it by then as it was my 1st mod lol ;p

I had mine pop when it was stock, had a faulty actuator which caused it to freeboost. Sucks throwing rods/smashing pistons with crank counter-weight!

What power you aiming for with the F6 motor? With a good tune it could pull 360rwkw, with a great tune 400 :-P

how much did the phoon motor cost you? I payed $2500 for a brand spanker bottom end..

i paid 4500$ for full motor with all pumps/pulleys etc delivered from QLD. 18000km's. Turbo and all. I was wrapped. Came out of a rear end ridden of BF 07 tornado ute. 360rwkw shouldnt be a drama. My big stallie robs 30+Rwkw anyway so i aint a dyno queen. Ill show 360rwkw on dynos but really...well you know.

im more worried about time slips rather then dyno slips ;p

Danny (HEADSEX) is tuning my car. Its been at his house over a month! Cant get decent time to do the tune on the car. bleh! Patiently awaiting this weekend. Fingers crossed!

360 should get ya an easy 120mph. Good work :-)

i dont even own a bike, and i work over an hour drive in peak hour....bike would prob get me there quicker though.


No i havnt ever lost my licence. I still got like 10 points. Only ever had 2-3 1 point fines.
and yes i owned a 310rwkw 300zx monster. My missus now owns it. I needed moaaar power.

If you pull up next to a blue 300zx with a HOT chick driving it, preper to be wiped :D bloody p platers! LOL

it means i used racv to get it towed to tuner cause i dont have time to drive it there myself :D
<3 racv totalcare. used 4 tows in 2 weeks. (3 for the EB whilst i got a new motor in it)

Tuner has car now and like a goose i forgot to put capa box in car, so i got missus to express post it down today so he will get it tomorrow. Fingers crossed car is ready to be hitting the hwy on friday night :)


also ill upgrade the EB on 1st post with new mods :P

Point of the car is to look stealth not bling :P

in the photo you see above its all avo. no plazmaman nor nizpro.

Ill take new photos when i get car back with nizpro gear and plazmaman gear. :)


And car is Vixen Red. lol... iswear it has some sort of pearl in it cause at night under lights it looks orange even to me!

Not to mention the buyer before me whoever he used!

Im a hard man to please. I tell tuners im willing to drop coin if im impressed. I drop 10k no worries (if i have it).

Hopefully this is the last place i need to go :) Proper workshop who does it full time. Not an arrogant retard who does home jobs on weekends when he feels like it or when it doesnt rain....sheesh.

Anyway yeah!!! Keep yas posted.


BTW, put a j3 chip in EB today....HUGE noticable difference from 3k rpm onwards! I must say...awesome for the cheap price! Love it. Nice work T.i. performance!

So....finally car is all done. Took 1 day of tuning and I get car back...how awesome is that. None of this wait 3 month crap. Not even AVO were this efficient.


So after going through AVO then HEADSEX, third times a charm. After alot of research and discussions with the tuner, I was happy to make the trip and have it all done there. Proof of built BTRs lasting with big power.

Car is proudly tuned at DYNO-MITE PERFORMANCE in west footscray. Many 10sec BTRs and a 9sec BTR. Dion's mission is to have a high powered BTR that lasts. So far so good.

Car is back with a few changes and a power figure of over 350rwkw @ 18psi on his lower reading dyno. Was raining on the drive home so didnt get to see how it goes. But he was telling me it lights up the tires even though I have brand new semi slicks. He said they need to be warmed up though obviously. Anyway lets hope the roads clear up tonight. Was never able to light em up before (unless I rev to like 4k rpm) so happy with his outcome.

Will be interesting on the RE CUSTOMS dyno night what it pulls to see the difference on both dyno setups.

Currently I have an exhaust or cat restriction which ill get looked after tax time. Dropped the exhaust from the dump and boost came on heaps quicker and boost raised a couple psi straight away. Anyway car for now is fine :P My huge 3200rpm loose ass histall converter really hates dynos. Anyway, lets aim for 125mph! Going July 9th down to Calder.

Cant recommend Dion highly enough. TOP BLOKE. ESPECIALLY if you are running over 300rwkw and you want some kind of assurance that your auto will last longer then having it tuned elsewhere. They have the 9sec 4spd BTR which is still kicking after a few passes.
