Bit of a trick. When you wash your car and tyre shine your tyres. Spray all up inside your wheels arch's with tyre shine. Won't look like you've been 4 wheel driving.

Saw it run 3-4 times last Friday, no 9

What was it running?

Pretty sure the best it ran was another flat 10, was running 10.0 - 10.1 and according to the commentator at Calder Dion was driving again.

I lol'd when he ran a 140 something and he said "good enough for a 9" then someone mentioned his MPH would go down if his 60 went up.

Run 140 mph at whatever it was, but then a slower speed to get a quicker time?

nstg8a, exactly what you said, quicker time means less time to build speed. Need more power. My thoughts anyway.

Power on a dyno =/= power on road. The fact that it's down 4-5mph means it has more traction, which is shown in the 60ft.

ran 10.07 and auto started flaring a big in 3rd. we got warned so then he did half passes till got a good 60'. last run flared all gears. Dion's burnouts are half track powerskids. Great to watch...when someone elses car lol Car does pro burnouts lol

so need to rebuild auto again! Last run was a 10.1. We have dropped mph from going from drum 85 to pump united e85. Even though we got more power, seems we have lost about 5mph. Still no clean pass with shit not breaking. Car should run 138-140mph on a full clean pass. Wont get the 142.5's i was getting at heathcote. Car 60's like a champion!

Unlike 90% of people building cars, ill keep going as I have been for a while now till the car runs a 9 which at least is achievable

Haha, Dion is a champ!! Still, I dunno, kinda feels pointless to me if someone else is piloting your car. If it were me, I wouldn't be happy unless my car ran the times I was after with me behind the wheel. Nice effort anyway!

Classic, as dion is pro driver, i want him to get the best out of the car, then for me to have a goal of trying to match it. On the hwy obviously im the only one who drives it There is only 1 king!

But why have Dion do it at all, when you say you want to match it anyway? Why not just go out yourself from the start? Seems like a waste of Dion's time to me to be honest.

He doesnt always drive it. He has only taken it to the last 2 times to the track andf ones year or so ago at heathcote. When i am overseas i let him take it out.

I get where you're coming from, at least this arrangement is proving what your CAR is capable of ...and Dion is merely the 'interface' that allows it to happen. I'm sure the tips you will get from him when you finally take the keys down the strip will be valuable in YOU achieving the best result in the safest way possible. I mean, all the top racing teams have a dedicated (and paid) driver in their cars, lol.

I'm sure Dion gets his thrills out of the whole thing too..

Icer, how do you think Dion became a good driver? Maybe he practised and got better and drove his own car until he was good at it?

Any plans to ditch the BTR and go for something reliable? I wonder if its lost mph from a slipping auto or just a good launch?

Will look into a t400 next year. If i dont keep going track then the auto is fine. But lets face it, i race it alot at the track too. If i ran the 9 then i can stop going to the track till the next round of mods at least

It's an awesome arrangement. You pay Dion to work on your car. Dion gets to race and break your car at your expense. You pay Dion more to fix your car.

still going. Well hwy anyway...havnt been at the track since start of year. Converting 400 people to Google Apps/Drive by myself has been a ball breaker.

Google Drive? Isn't that the autonomous car project? Have you fired Dion as a driver & placed your trust in Google?
