Sweet! Bay is horn.

It'd make for interesting driving without that brace.

Othar than paint and wheels it's stock looking from the outside.

Thats a sweet ride you got there mate. Never new a EF crank fitted these motors!
It looks as hes made is own brace so i wouldnt think it would be to bad of a drive.

Yes it does. I was looking at useing the balancer of the EF as its serpintine like blower pulley then i looked at the crank and you just need to machine block to take EF seal.

Everything lines up and all the bearing are the same and everything !!
Then on with the 200 rods and forged pistons for a better rod /stroke ratio and it should see 6000rpm easy :)

Thanks for the compliments, it makes all the time and efort worthwhile.

So the falcon engine has changed about 1% over 50 years? (excluding BA onwards)

Id own that.

Awesome car. Can you tell us a bit more about the cylinder head? And who made your pistons?

TUFED6 wrote:Awesome car. Can you tell us a bit more about the cylinder head? And who made your pistons?

Gday TUFED6, The Head is from a company in the US called Classic Inlines.(check them out at classic inlines .com) Its like the 2V head that was in some of the XY to XA,s (The US didnt go Cross-Flow like here in OZ so were stuck with the old Log Head right up till the 80's and would pay good money for a 2V.)but the chambers are tweaked and ive got bigger valves with a port and polish etc.The pistons are forged Keith Black to suit a Rover 4.9 stroker kit (the number on piston is DW49952). It worked out to have a comp ratio with a 46 thou bore and the 200 rods and 56cc head combustion chamber at 8.5-1.

Well moneys been the hold up but i finaly got her over to the dyno. She had a few problems,one-feul was erratic and she would go leen(turns out when i sealed the feul tank i blocked the breether  i counldnt figure it out the guys at Mopower dyno got it in minutes).two- I thought i needed to adjust tappets as she had a little rattle.it turns out i had a dodgey lifter so the heads of and im getting a MLS gasket made while its off(its $600.00)but probable good insurance.and three-the bypass valve wasnt working properly. The guys at the dyno say it was quite erratic and when it starts to go into boost it would open and dump it so im trying some others. They havent got a figure with the blower hooked up as yet but they got 158hp at the wheels with out it blowing through. and they havent done any tunning yet. not bad for a old 2v with 8.5to1 comp when you consider they came out with 175hp at the flywheel.Im shooting for the 300 to 350hp range so ill let you knowImage

Intercooler needs water tank an it wasnt making any differance to air temp.Carb is a bitch to tune so Ill save and get one of these http://www.professional-products.com/EFI_3.php
then up the boost.
Gave her a little squirt Image
