Dylans Genuine EF XR6.... wagon :)

So after a lengthy absence from boosted... and e-series falcons i've come full circle and ended up back in one.

I decided to move back to Adelaide after 4 and a bit years on the Gold Coast, so i asked my uncle to start looking for cars preferably falcons with the only condition being that it's manual. after a couple of weeks, i ended up with this... (and yes, it's factory manual)

2 of the first changes i've made

only thing i've changed externally was swap the EF vents out for EL ones.

plans for the near future are, lower it, finish the exhaust, put the black 18's that were on my sprint on to it, tint etc.

i also have a tickford front skirt already lined up for it, just have to get some side skirts and figure out what the hell to do for the rear bar

That's EL XR MOMO option, AU is different. I have a factory fitted AU Momo in my XR8.

I thought the EL Momo wheels had red stitching on them? Anyway, nice car, love the XR wagon look. If I didn't fail at building cars, I would so pimp a wagon like that! EL XR front conversion would look schweet!

cheers for the comments guys, hopefully i can get my ass into gear and get some stuff done to it when the new front shocks arrive

Eb Barbie wrote:Looks good Dylan, bet you can't wait to drive it round :)

i've been driving it for about 7 weeks, only reason it's not already lowered is the shocks didn't show up the weekend before last and i'm now on 2 weeks holiday. it also took a couple of weeks to get the tyres for the rims that are going on it.

only have 1 small issue with it at the moment and that's the rear seal on the extension housing is leaking slowly, but will be fixed when i'm back from O/S

The momo isn't aftermarket. It's a factory option EL Wheel.

The only reason i say it was aftermarket is that when i was working for one of the large motortrimmers here in adelaide we were buying these wheels in direct from MOMO...
oh well still a hot wheel

in a half assed sort of update... the exhaust is done and i'm pretty happy with it. now it just needs some TLC to fix the coolant leak it's developed in the last week and some new plugs and leads.

future plans would have to be new brakes all round as mine are nearly rooted, new rear shocks as they are pretty trashed then i'll probably get into some engine work

Welcome to the Wagon Club!

Very clean and tidy example you have there.

The wagons make a great daily driver. Very practical, but still a great looking ride.

I would suggest getting a rear swaybar fitted. Made a lot of difference in mine.

Cheers
