reading this has inspired me to get my head fixed up/reco port n polish, cam, extractors, j3 chip, hi flo cat and manual conversion done to my fairlane :)

did u do the head and all that urself??

i wanna get a rough price on to get it all done(labour cost) ive already got 4499 extractors, j3 chip(not sure wot programs on it), cam gear and soon to have 5spd manual so just need to get the rest done and fitted..i'll be happy with 150kw from my fairlane

Haha happy my car had inspired someone :p thanks, i sent the head to get ported and polished but yeah i fitted it all up at home pretty easily, if you do the same sorta stuff with same cam you will get 150rwkw + easy with a good tune,

shit yeh, only thing is gettin a tune.. theres a place locally that has a dyno but do they have to know how to deal with the j3 chip to be able to tune prop?

sweet ride man, looks tops. Who did the head work and what did it set you back? Have you got a video of the exhaust note by any chance? Ive been thinking about going up to a 1521a over my 977b.

did you use a ticky head or normal, im keen as to get started on a decent n/a build.

normal head, its easier to port out a normal head compared to a ticky head and then just put bigger valves in it

and did you use new springs and vernier? i got most of the stuff here, just looking for a decent place to do it.

Hey mate your cluster looks good as! Assuming you used regular LED's that plug into the globe holder, did you get them working fine? I've had trouble getting some to work in the past, hence the question.

love the sound, wish my 977b idled like that, imo 977b idle isnt lumpy at all.

he's probably got 3point LEDs(well its what i have) as to the reason they are bright!
Most if not all LEDs only work plugged in one way in the globe case.
