That whole taxi wheel look is stupid on anything that isn't a base model and yellow in colour.

Thought it was about time I updated this thread, not that there is much to update on.

Here's a pic from Boosted Charity Cruise 2011, rolling on stockies/flappas/dress rings.

Image

I chucked Andy's wheels on for All Ford Day. Wanted to see if I liked them on or not and to decide whether to buy them off him. Would have preferred 20's but they still look alright :)
Entered the car for the hell of it but even though Sterling did a mint job of cleaning it, I was actually dissapointed with the car itself, I thought it was cleaner then it actually was so was surprised to win anything.

No more plans for the car other then just trying to keep it clean and decide on some wheels.

Here's a pic taken after the presentation at AFD yesterday:

Image

And a few pics of trophy/car.

Big congratulations on the win, well deserved.
Can't believe they buggerd up the judging entries so bad.

Trophy says runner up 1989 onwards, but the winner was a 1980 model, so they will have to fix that :)

Thought I'd post an update here.
Drove the lane to Sydney and back at Easter time and it was a dream to drive. Got around 600+kms per tank which I was pretty happy with.

The times come to say good bye to the Fairlane and I'll be looking at getting a BA/BF Wagon to accomodate for the dogs. Will be sad to see it go, it's got everything I was looking for and has been a great car to drive.

I'll chuck it up for sale on carsales in a couple of weeks for around $6500-$7000 and see if I get any interest and go from there.
