put a 5 litre in it sunny (mine is for sale) or a basic turbo 6

along with a 5 speed and a spool, leave it un reg and drift it

or use it for skids/drag.
70mm t/b and maf, extractors and exhaust, 2500 stall, stage 2 shift kit, ultra lows, pioneer/clarion stereo.

soon to be 347...

Jesus mate, you dont have to be a teenager to prefer an older car that's fast. I'm not a teenager, BLCKED isn't a teenager etc etc...
And again with this whole E-Series is shit attitude.
I appreciate that people have different opinions and whatever but you just cant summarise people as immature/about to hit puberty just because they'd take something like the Kaddis machine over a BA Ghia with 10,000 kms on it.

Lol urs was one of the better ones!! I've been in a couple of VX's and VT's since and they felt fairly terrible. Not to mention having driven Mum's VX heaps, I don't really like the feel of the Commodores. Once they get to 100,000km, if you turn them side to side sharply the whole body flexes and you can hear all the plastics creaking. No shit :S

Gave the offer on the BA Ghia and it was rejected. Not to worry found another.

I don't think I'd get over a BA that quick. I'm skipping the AU's because they are pretty much the same technology and driveline in a newer and uglier shell. BA's were a massive leap forward, and the Ghia was one of the models that got a whole lot more bells and whistles than pretty much any other Fairmont Ghia update ever. Colour ICC, adjustable pedal height, Split Zone climate, reverse park sensors, 6 disc in dash stacker, the driver's seat memory and electric adjust etc. etc. Then there's all the standard shiz with BA like the sick IRS, DVCT, sports shift mode or whatever. Heapsa gimicky shit that rocks. Then there's the mad interiors, steering and handling.. etc. etc.

The EA's just an EA. I can still afford to put $100 worth of trans and exhaust in it to get it running after I've bought a BA (more like if).. that's all it needs.

Lol at drift and V8 conversion ideas. I can't even be fukd washing the car I have that drives. Yeah good one.

And nobody wants to see some stock standard family saloon. Even if it has the factory option roof racks n all.
A tastefully built EA turbo is waaay more respectable than some stocker of a BA.. And cheaper

What part of tastefully built EA turbo is like the kaddis machine?

I wasnt saying you young whipper snappers were immature, I was saying 99% of people who arent E series enthusiastics would choose a brand new 4 banger over a hotted up EA.

Maybe if you kids knew how to read and interpret what you read you wouldnt seem so immature and like you are about to hit puberty?

Who cares whats respectable it really comes down to what you like to drive and what your happy with.

Sunny's EA is a mint car and he has put alot of work into it and alot of other cars but it comes time to move on, Why do you think the Kaddis machine is being sold/parted?

I've sold my Fairmont and i admit my Calais drives alot better than the EF.

lol this thread's brought out all the enthusiastics and 209 month-olds.

There is no fucking way I'd choose to be in an EA over an A3/Corolla/Golf in a crash. Hilarious! And you can't get a "good" Audi under $40k? Jesus some people need to pull their head out of their arse... Anyway enough of this bullshit.

Sunny it sounds like the BA Ghia option is perfect for you. For all the features you get they're pretty decent value for money. Especially if you're after something relatively cheap to maintain, big, and RWD. I looked at them briefly but took my Ford goggles off for a while and looked and drove everything. Almost. Nah not really. But yeah I have faith in you making a BA Ghia look as crackin as the EA did when it was in its former glory.
