It's got a EA Ghia rear end with clear coating and gold pearl, ED XR6 front end, Weld Ddraglite 9" rear and 6" front, SSL's with Pedders Sportsryders all round.

I'm waiting for Gill to finish his car then I'm buying the driveline so he can fund a DOHC project in his Dad's old EA ex-cab.

I frequent these forums enough to update this thread if there was anything worth writing. Pretty sure you know that. Useless bump.

This things pretty hammered now. The weather and careless storage on my part has taken it's toll.

I'm looking to strip the interior and sound system, and pull out the motor sitting in the bay and get rid of it for the price of the diff (3.7 LSD) or free if you chuck your own diff in and help pull the rest of the shit out.

You can take it complete minus stereo for $500. It has a BA NA motor in it that's been sitting for at least 5 years, that can go for another $100 but it has a red rocket cover which I'll keep.

It is still under EPA sanction from April 2008. This could be statute barred now as it's over 7 years. Car also eligibe for club rego since March.

I'll get some pics in the next few days. Paint could definitely be saved or touched up here and there. Best option would be a blowover. It's still as straight as it was the day we took it in to the booth, although she was never perfect from the get go.

After 8 years off the road and a few failed resurrection atempts she'll be going today. I have a buyer on his way now. Pretty sad to let her go to a stranger, I even offered it to a few members for nothing or a discount just so I could track where it ends up, but not meant to be.

Sad day. 24 years in the family. 11 in my posession but off the road for 8 so not much point in keeping a mouldy eyesore.

Pics on trailer as it drives in to the distance to come.

End of an era. The car that dropped me to and picked me up from school then provided much of the base for all my learning about Falcons, engines and what not - is gone. The bloke wasn't too friendly or chatty and didn't really tell me what the plan was. He was going to take the diff for his own car and then palm the shell off to a mate who lives in the Epping or Thomastown area.

I got $400 for it.

If I could have, and had the time etc. to dedicate I would have made something of it.

Gill and I bought another EA S Pack a year or so ago and have been planning and doing a Barra conversion to it since, but both of us having full time jobs and trying to run a business in our spare time we haven't done shit to it. If we do have manage to get a second to ourselves, we have to dedicate to actually having a personal life or squeezing that little bit more from the business. It will happen soon tho, because the barra conversion can technically be used to promote our business.

If I had a few dollars more I would have sent the EA to a painter and said "do it" then done the rest myself. I will buy another EA or similar for that in the future or do it to the above-mentioned EA S Pack.

And if anyone cares to know what the current fleet consists of -

A G6E Turbo 50th Anniversary which has broken all of my car ownership records. I bought it early July last year so have owned it a total of 14 months. I have also managed to do some upgrades including an LSD and some Superlow springs. The rest has been maintenance, the rear end was all swapped out for a very low KM XRT unit due to shagged bushes, the gearbox was howyagoing for a full year before Gill and I swapped it for a low KM F6 one, the brake master cylinder shat a seal and took the paint of the booster with it so that was replaced along with brake switch, few trim pieces which showed wear were also replaced.

Image

I've also had a BA F6 for almost a year but she's going to be returned to stock and go soon. Was one of the first delivered. Cost the original owner $77k and he had to return it a few weeks later for the clutch recall. This was back when FPV were telling people it would be a limited run, and when it came out a lot of people were very disappointed with them. It was kept very well by the original owner, the second owner (who I bought it from) also spent a packet on it. It had a tune pushing 420rwkw on 23-24PSI, on eFlex fuel.
