There not in yet, but should be by midnight tonight...or maybe mid morning sat depending on how many beers I have.

Hope to cruise the shit out of it very very soon!

Updates will happen along the way.

Its not that bad. A little when on the highway but if you have a few things in the boot like suitcaes and stuff it is only a hint.

If I was rolling in money Id probably sell it a buy a force 6. But if I was loaded and stupid Id do the exhaust again, 2 1/4 mandrel bent, good cats, propers X pipe, good mufflers and some good rear mufflers as well.

Im slowly putting it back together but one of my koni's leaked from the top valve :( I hate to say it but a massive CBF feeling hit me about 30 mins ago.

Pete, was your wagon loud at idle? Mine is not that loud until you stab it in the guts. If I work it right I can cruise it next weekend.

Things to do
*Rebuild standard brake calipers
*machine rotors
*wheel alignment and camber kit set up
*put new guards on
*put new bonnet on
*put new front bumper back on
*engine tune up (maybe new leads)

Cruise the damn thing finally.

Update,
Got the front bar, guards on with help from His (thanks knob head), I re did the stock calipers, and bled the brakes. I then had the alignment drama and thought your average shop would have no idea on how to set it up so I hired a trailer and spent 45 mins getting it up the ramps :blackeye: I took it to Centre line in Thomas town. Bloody champs they are.

Cost me a bomb but very very happy. Arm79 rolled up his sleeves swore at me and cursed something about never working on v8 s but managed to get it running sweeeeet. Worked out that the white mark on the balance was not dtc but 30deg advanced, so I had it set at 45 deg  we reset it to 30deg add and it goes as it should and cruises so well.

So cosmetic crap left to do now. Cruise time!!!!

The wagon surprises me sometimes considering the tall diff gears and the e7's.

So now it has all new bushes front and rear, new rear shocks and other bits and bobs.

Has cappa leather rear seats with modified fairlane bolsters.

Still, if anyone wants it contact me. I have 3 cars and it just to much.

Ill get some pics when I have 5 mins to myself.

Been cleaning this thing up slowly. Not much left to do. I have been putting cappa leather into it and I have put seat heaters in the front seats. Gave it a good wash as well. As I mentioned before it runs great and the suspension is all new so I am very happy with it at the moment. All I need to do is the EL Ghia side moulds I have here, and another cornering lamp.

Not sure what price to put on it, its an e series but its a rare combination and its a genuinely good car after the $$ I have spent. Open to offers at this stage.

Anyhow pics.

Holy crap, is that Lambeck drive? God damn, I haven't been down there since I had the EA! Do they still skid down there? I am pretty sure I did my first ever patch there too! lol. Anyway, car is looking great man, I love the look with the FTR's, good clean look! Can you get colour coded moulds for the pillars on the tail gate at all? The black ones look too EA! :P

Na mate, its not Lambeck Dve but close!

Dont know if EL's came with colour coded pillar moulds, I dont mind the black. Im thinking of ditching the roof rack things and even getting the car wrapped in matt black.

The FTR's look good but the EL GT's look better :)

Looks really good.

Am very jealous of the twin exhaust.

All E Series wagons had the black D Pillars on the tailgate.

Finished fitting the passenger seat today so I now have heated front seats. MMMMM so cozy.

arm79 and his pile or parts from the past 10 years is putting peer presure on to do a cappa dash swap and high end premo sound upgrade. Plus other things he has about.

Ill be sending to a local LPG guy to do a bit of work and then I can put some more rego on it. Ill probably take it back to Canberra and drive it twice a month. :? :-(

Yeah it will get on there soon,

Im more interested in getting the LPG serviced and tuned. After that I can get a LPG joint down here to write a cert to satisfy the ACT yearly rego inspection then some rego.

Im ditching the base model Alpine cd player for a premium sound set up with amp, sub, cd stacker, and i pod input.

So this has gone to a new home in Stanthorpe.

I nearly cried when he drove away. so much time, love, tears, swear words, blood, and fights with the wife over this car. It was the best cruiser and soaked up the highway like a champ.
Ill post up the final pics soon

Will own again.
