The XR6 Chronicles.

Well its been awhile since ive had a thread on this thing so here we go!
Started life as 03 BA XR6 completely stock with 140~k on the clock
Image
Soon after i got it, it went straight to BLUEPOWER Racing Developments for a Full DiFilippo Exhuast and a Bluepower Airbox where it pulled 157rwkw untuned.
Image
Image
It also received Lowered springs, Chrome mirrors, Fairmont garnish and no rear spoiler.
Image
Image
Image

not too long after, this happened.
Image
Image
and after a drunken night at a fellow members house we decided it would be great to kick fucked guard to shit.
got a blue panel off a mate and it pretty much sat like that for a good year and and half
i lost all motivation for it, rolled on terrys at factory height, sold the airbox and springs and was planning to sell it. untill this happened
Image
(a 4wd hit the front end, and my brother was driving my car and he merged into someone, so insurance came good)
so its now been repaired and it all white again.
So how the car sits now
Engine
-Difilippo Exhuast
-Custom air intake
-Underdrives pulley
- Strenthend XR6 turbo gearbox with shorter ratios
Interior
-Factory black/Red interior
-Chrome shifter
-Premuim sound with 6stack indash cd player
-Genuine ford Ipod AUX cable
-12" clarion sub
Also has Whiteline adjustable swaybars
Moar pics.
Image
Image
so now im just waiting for some lowered spring to arrive, and then figure out what i wanna do with it. Either put an XR6 turbo motor in but that includes diff, bushes and suspention, or sell it for **** all and buy a Tornado ute.
enjoy

lol indeed, im serously gonna get some mint Jap rims and get this thing with stance! then try and get it on stanceworks website or some shit haha

Justa6, its still untuned, im thinking i might get it tuned before i go turbo just to see what the NA Motor had in it (considering it had Okish power with just a pod and exhuast)
also the car at some stage has had rear adjustable camber put in so i can adjust the rear camber to get mint stance. Also explains why i never really had issues with the IRS chewing the inside tyres out, and why its such a freak(for a boat) in the corners

Spewing man hahha.

Did you have to pay to fix it all? Or insurance?

Front the 4wd dude covered, and the side was covered by insurance which my brother covered.

I reckon i'd be able to join you with some 10mm spacers :P

do it wilson, think 10mm spacers at the front, 5mm in the rear with camber adjustment then slammed would give it wicked stance for a falcon

kester u need about 2cm of tyre tuck all round, and 1mm clearance between tyre and guards (roll rears) and 225 on the rears and 195s on the fronts for good stretch...

Don't BA xr's have adjustable rear camber anyway? i thought it was only the pov BA's that didn't? mine never chews out rear tyres... on the inside.

make it sleeper spec and then BF turbo conversion + 18psi ;)

XR6 + sleeper doesnt really work, although most of the Car people in my area know my car so they wont expect it once its turbo

Yup many times haha. But I've had this car awhile it's done 11ty billion k's so I'll get **** all for it. It's no longer a daily so I can have it off the road/ don't have to drive it day in day out. And the cars served me well so it deserves a little boost.
Parfrey, In the long run I hope to get a good Power figure but to start with but stock will suit me for awhile.
Long term I plan on getting it resprayed like the Lexus white with the pearl in it, good stance and big sound system.

Don't really care about speed, it's quick enough for now, I'd rather make it look good with reasonable power then have parked up with power that can't be driven in rain or will get dicked easy.
Btw this will probs never hit the strip does not even excite me. In saying that I'd rather take it to a track with turns and bends or do mountain runs.

The rear could do with being abut lower, this week I'll get some 15mm spacers and see how it goes.
