Legit 13XXX? More shots of brand new-ness needed. Underbody, engine bay, dash. Nothing like a new B-Series lol.

And what's with the new plates? Should get some R or S prefix plates, or try get the originals for it. They look out of place.

I hope its legit, nah its like brand new underneath, had it on a hoist at work for roady and looks like its never even been driven in the rain, original tyres, brakes. Il find some photos.
The last owner had custom plates which he took, i was kinda shattered.

Oh man, that is mint as!! Awesome find mate, you must be stoked! It really does look clean, and I am with you on the poster, that just had to happen! :P I know what you mean about the juice too, friggin V8's. Mine is pretty terrible also, especially as I live so close to work. I'll be lucky to get 400kms out of a tank if I don't use the freeway!

Ive now become addicted to these B series so both my missus and I decided to sell my EB 5 litre for a more pratical daily.

Its a BA II XR6 Turbo with optional leather, roof racks (lol wont be using them so they are for sale) and towbar.

So now that we have this my missus has taken possesion and im back to driving a standard EB 4Litre. Soon to be manual :P

yerr gt is only a 5 speed, kinda wish it was 6... not sure if its a T5 though, id imagine it would have to be alot stronger than a standard T5??

T56 Tremec I think same as last Au v8s

Cars look great mate

Nah they had tr3650 or somethingblikr that.
the last au v8s were t5z and not much stronger that standard t5.
the gearboxes in these are a bit stronger i think but still not as good as a t56 or anything.
cheers josh.

BA GT Finally hit the dyno

Bit of an update, ive left this car stock other than an air intake i got for it a few weeks ago

Image

Which helped me acheive this, put it on the dyno at CK automotive in Maribyrnong when they had their dyno day
Was expecting around 230kw but hoping for around 250kw, so i was pretty happy when i saw the result.

Image

Image

And a random happy snap, dont know the owner hope he doesnt mind

Image

After speaking with one of the guys who run the shop im considering a tune, they were reasonably priced and seemed to know what they were talking about, hoping for around 300 at the wheels :good:

Cant see the whole dyno sheet :?

I'm considering at GT or an F6 at the moment and fuel is one big thing for me at the moment. Id definitely go a sweet LPG system. This is after all my settlement is completed from the wife so who knows how long that will take!

Bloody nice car non the less. BA/F FPV's just make my testicles excited.

Looks the good mate! Nice power for almost stock. It takes a fair bit to crack 300 out of these n/a dosnt it?

Fow shiz? Thats a sick result man, good one! I can't believe these things make this power out of the box, I had to boost my anchor and still didn't get this much mumbo! :P If I were you, I'd tune the T instead. should get more bang for your buck.

What mods?

With stock exhaust and no tune that's way to high of a dynO reading.

Even with cams etc these usually only 290rwkw through a manual.

Some AU 3 V8's got T5Z's. BA MK1 XR6T's also got T5Z's. They are stronger than standard T5's found in NA 6's.

BA MK1 V8's got TR-3650's, which are 5 speeds. Pretty strong box, but not worth rebuilding. MK2 BA's got the T56.

Cheers guys, the guy I was talking to rekons he tuned one with the same mod n got just over 290 at the treds, hopefully with a proper exhaust I might get close to my goal of 300.

Your right ev, I would get more bang for your buck with the turbo but my missus drives it so no tune........ For now lol

There are a few guys I've seen pulling between 250- 260 with a stock healthy motor, and with all the other cars on the Dyno that day it wasn't over reading, a mate got a much lower figure than he did 3 months before with nothing changed.

Mates old man has a air intake, throttle body, tune and FG test cams and pulled 320, out of a BF GT

not really out of the ordinary to be honest, this happens alot with these cars, ive seen 03 BA GT's with only 5,000km on them

and yeah that dyno figure seems abit high for just an air intake

Yeh i dunno man,I remember reading about that white BA GT on FF and he spent mega $$$ to crack into the 300's. Oh well,Theres always going to be arguments over dyno figures.
