ultra low kings springs an Monroe GT Sport shoct shocks
3.45 LSD diff
Genunie FPV GT rims painted silver for a cleaner look
JVC dvd head unit, Pioneer speakers, Soundsream amp & 12" Orion dual voice coil sub
GT/Concord steering wheel an a few extra woodgrain bits,
all blue led lights in dash & climate control (screen too)
Xenon headlights
thank thats about it? only thing left is to fit the genuine EL XR skirt kit I have in the shed

just finished fitting my EF with a AU series 3 motor an trans.....(due to blown head gasket in original motor, no real other reason)..

gotta say, overall im happy with it, but.....meh...... dont see the hype, all that effort....goes and drives the same as she ever did. For me the cost was the same to place an AU motor in there as to repair the blown head gasket so I thought I'd give it a go. My opinion in the end, for all the extra effort required, next time i'd just fix the head gasket... or find a tickford head & put that on there. If you had to pay for the conversion, certainly not worth it for such little gains.

my 2 cents

Disknt: not sure the exact colour, I just said I want a nice bright silver. Thanks for the comment, I think they look heaps better silver than their original machined finish. Having to run different size spacers was a bit a pain because of their different offsets (genuines have a "rear only" pair), but worth it. Fakes look totally different next to them.

Bit of an update, I got a 3:45 LSD into it finally, and now the AU motor has been in for a week or so, I'm actually noticing the difference, much smoother motor with a little more grunt down low.

Any interest in an EL XR8 to swap? You can keep the wheels and steering wheel.

Na, thanks for the offer though :) I do like el xr's .... But that's a bit of a sideways step.....I prefer leather interiors an climate control lol

Cheers

Yeah same here, I've got all the gear to convert it to ghia climate control and electrics just need a decent set of seats and doortrims. Laziness is also slowing that down hahaha

hey abcent, im thinking about doing the blue cluster conversion, but havent taken anything apart yet, are there seperate leds for the limiter section on the tacho and the gauges as well?

Nah all the same man, the red part is part of the dial face an the light behind it won't change it no matter what colour they are. Pretty sure there all T5. When getting the led globes make sure you get some that spread light wide rather than focus straight ahead for best effect.

God it must've been cold! CC set to 32!

Does look good though, easy on the eyes. Good advice with the LEDs
