ELDanny's NL Fairlane

Hi all,

Thought I'd finally get around to putting some progress pics up of my Lane :)

Its a 98 NL in Alaskan Frost with Grey Leather.
Just my neat daily/cruiser so no megabucks getting spent on it, just bits here and there.

Carpoint pic
Image

Was a good drive up to Sydney to go pick it up, only had 185xxx on the clock.
Also took advantage of being in NSW on the drive home ;)

Image

Picked up some springs from Pete, rears got chucked in for free (cut ultras from the barbie car) which my mate conned me into chucking in.
Before
Image
After (This is how it was at the Fountain Gate minimeet I came to)
Image

Got over the ride almost immediately so levelled it back out

Then Came the Venetians

And walls (note car is still jacked up getting the passenger side walled)
Image

And how it sits today

Things left to do before i sink my coin into my falcon -
-Colour Code grandpa visor
-DL LTD wheels + whitewalls
-Side venetians (in progress-modified zk items)
-3.45 LSD for a bit of poke
-LTD Grille + BA Ghia bonnet strip to replace hood ornament

So thats it :) As new things come along i'll update this thread :)

Only a small update, but a few touches i've wanted to do for a while :)

Replaced ghia hood ornament with badge (thanks Kyle). Since i want a DL Grille i think the badge will suit better than the ornament :)
Image

And a ZB badge for the rear to add to the old school look :)
Image

I'm working on side venetians at the moment, and when i get some cash for new tyres i'll get an inch whitewall :)

Cheers,
Danny

Thanks heaps :)

Yeah I do like to keep it tidy, my pride and joy :D cant wait to own a car that has collectable value and look after that

But I was a bit nervous that the rear badge would look tacky when I first got it, but I think it really sets off the grandpa look of the car :good:

Thanks :) yeah I actually came up with the idea at AFD! Was a few old fairy's around and i thought i'd suit the look I'm going for :) Its only take one as it doesnt sit proper as the panel is curved, but I have another one to do take 2 and do the double sided tape better ;)

And haha I'm very picky with colours! When my falcon got stolen i straight away wanted a fairlane but it had to be silver, was lucky that i found this one in a week ;) but i still love the blue though, my rents have one in the flagship navy blue :)

Ohhh man that badge idea is soo tempting, but I don't want to copy. Did you end up putting the bonnet badge on yet mate?, she's coming up real nice man! :drinks2:

Haha I wouldnt mind if you did it to yours, just feels good that people like one of my original ideas :) And yeah i did, there should be a pic in the same post with the front of the car :)

And ta :) Ugh bit of bad news though, i grabbed my LHF guard and it split the paint   soo pretty much looks like ass and i need the panel resprayed! Will be patching up with some of that special clear contact crap so i can still drive it without it getting worse till i can afford to get the panel repainted.
