Been putting it off a while, so here are some photos i'd like to share. A sort of before and after, although the car isn't finished just yet.
early 2010 - Hideous incorrect offset EL stockies, no tint, nothing..
Image
Last week - Dark agents, rim skins, stripe, ultra lows, fairmont garnish, aftermarket lights, 20% tint, clear indicators, personalised plates, twin dump pipes, painted venetians (bought off Ronza)
*note, the car is jacked up at the back here, its much lower..
Image
Front view, aftermarket foglamps, hawk grille w/mesh, painted spats, Narva ultra blue bulbs and parkers
Image
Leather conversion

More to come! Thanks for viewing

big improvement.

i'd go back to stock lights, along with the stock garnish, black > chrome

So are your venetians actual white? Cause mine are the creamy white and I'm gonna get 18% tint and wanted to know if I can still see the venetians fine...

Good looking AU btw, not a big fan of them but yours is pretty nice :)

Thanks mate, yeah they are slightly off-white and can be seen fine. Especially on a sunny day they look fantastic!

Na, garnish is pretty easy. Screws and foam washers behind the boot. If you have a large subwoofer you may want to use cable ties and a sponge behind it :\

Great effort mate, the red striping works well and has heritage with some classic E series models.

Nothing wrong with stock-ish lights. One minor detail I always recommend is King Pin number plate frames from Autobarn though.

So here's an update a few months later. Notable changes include 5mm whitewalls, removal of foglamps, painted spats black, king pin number plate frames, promotional stickers, etc.. This was shortly after extractors and a high flow cat was installed. Pretty happy. The car now has a nice low rumble and plenty of mean sounding back-cackle

Additives had just been flushed through the system as well as filter changes and fresh oil. The car is slightly lower than before too.

People will hang shit on me for my gauges and walls i know, but in the end it's my first car that i've worked very hard for and I am proud of it. Not bad for 19 y/o anway..good to promote the humble AU and make it stand out a little.
Day 1
Image
Few months down the track..lowered somewhat, few things done (I was still in highschool so I was wrapped)
Image
Looking pretty clean here..not too outstanding but respectable..
Image
Back to the stockies however with ultralows..cheap hoon days.

Starting to turn heads..

love it... the tailights in the last pictures look sooo much better than the clears.. just my opinion..

i personally like the chrome garnish, but black one would look good too.

you should paint inside the headlights, basically to match the covers you had on them, i also know somebody selling altezza headlights for au.. with black backing.

any more updates mate?

Looks good, but i think you can go a little overboard with too much exterior crap though...
