*Awaiting abuse from Rollin for misleading thread title*

Well, my gf's old man found me this monster sitting quietly in a used car lot in a country town in South Gippsland. The dealer had no idea of the goldmine he was sitting on when he sold it... Since less-is-more (according to the latest Girlfriend magazine), I bought it with no roady, no rego, no power, no sound-deadening, no class, and no brakes. And I mean, no brakes. They're so bad that when I fired it up for the first time, put my foot on the brake and released the handbrake, it rolled forwards & into the gutter. Gears slow this thing down (although I haven't tried a compression-lock yet, when the tyres say "Made in West Germany" and have the texture of UV-damaged Bakelite, you know they're there for show only. I drove (all night, just to get back home) 100kms on a country highway in this beast.

No wet towels here.

^^^ someone GIF that shit, it deserves to be animated.

Anyway as you've probably gathered, it's been owned by a previous forum member; Tony Martin. After practicing on his parents' cars he went for third-time-lucky, and was fore-armed with the knowledge that only the best Dulux and rollers will do. WILDEB gave advice on the rear garnish, since this is a Toyota-badged car. The results speak for themselves.

But wait, there's more!

Image
Genuine replica HOMO steering wheel. I think the fuel gauge works, and the speedo jumps erratically until you reach 40kph, before settling into an undulating pitch & roll - much like the ute's ride quality on flat roads.

Image
This isn't an odometer, it's a day counter. This is how many days LUXO_8 has been an ongoing project for.

Image
XF Ghia-inspired climate control; those flaps are multi-directional. "VENT, BI-LEVEL, and HEAT" don't do anything, but I suspect they're titles for 1980s gay porn novels penned by Stephenie Meyer, adapted into vampire movies some 25 years later. The push-buttons and numbers to the lower left are either some kind of vintage boost setting, or a Rubik's Abacus.

Image
Tickford Wastegate sub. Pumps out the bass in John Laws' golden voice. Housing commission carpet is Xzibit-approved (awaiting Wilson Approval), and installed by Phat Custom Kits (they now do interiors).

Image
Recaros, bitches

Image
2JZ no shit. Actually, it's an SOHC 2.2L diesel. Wikipedia says this monster pumps out 87hp (lol). Since Asians are smaller people, I think the same applies with what they base horsepower on.

Image
ROR ^_^

Image
Dark Asians.

Anyway I'm looking at painting this up with something offensive. Any photoshop gurus out there want to make something up for me?

This hilux is like icer's ba, it can't get the power to the ground (this can be read a few ways). Also, the last time it did a skid, Frost chased me out of Deniliquin. **** you Frost, i'll get my discounted diesel elsewhere.

Anyway it's confined to the farm now for special duties, and destined to be torched then buried in the bush paddock, much like a disabled-but-still-hot Mormon cousin.

Why you no do skid? I'm sure you have a suitable piece of concrete on the farm- driveway, garage, front porch...?

If it really can't do skids you can at least take it off a few jumps, see how she handles in the air.

Two problems with the skids/jumps requests:

1) no concrete at my place. I shit you not. Dirt driveway, dirt carports (x6), sandy loam everywhere else. This should make skids easier (although not Boosted Approved), right? Wrong. I have to ride the clutch to get it moving. The only skids it could do would be compression locks.

2) jumps? Lol, yeah maybe if it could make it up the incline.

Did i mention this thing has glow plugs? I think it's one of those whacky japanese homosecks ideas where they combined glow sticks with butt plugs. This thing takes forever to start.
Thread needs moar Wicked camper/Redtube-spec photoshop paintjobs. I'm talking tits & a dirty big cawk.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

It's pretty fucked now, i have to bridge the starter to jump start it. Everytime I do that I pop a low beam on the Fairmont, the current draw is huge. Electrically it's dead, pretty much runs solely mechanically (diesel). It's now known as the Zombielux.

Future plans include making a telegraph style starter button, as the screwdriver I use is looking pretty sad having nearly been arc-welded to the engine bay 11ty times.

And so ends the chapter of the Zombielux at Stradbrokeback.

How awesome is Gumtree for selling shit, we've sold a few items lately with no bullshit & quick sales. That said, some people simply don't get how sales communications go. Although advertised as not running with no battery & a flat tyre, I had one guy ask if it would manage a 250km trip to Rosebud. Another guy posed a question as a statement, saying Geelong was very far away. Why yes, yes Geelong is far away! When I advised it had sold already he said he'd pay more than the asking price. When I reiterated I no longer had the hilux and it was on its way down the road he said "give it to me I give you money"

In other news, Timmy the miniature pony has gone to a horsey home after being too much of a kun to deal with & has tried to hump the geldings he now hangs out with. Look out for him at this year's Melbourne Cup.

Oh, the guys who bought the Hilux offered $100 for the BF...

Funny as... You didn't keep the recaros or the custom house carpet? The interior was a matching winner... Lol

Timmy was sold with a recaro instead of a saddle. As for the carpet, check out Reno Rumble next week.
