No ticky kit yet , weather has been terrible for spraying , ticky kit has been pushed back on the to do list. Rebuilding the diff and replacing all bushes in rear . Then putting in new carpet .

Why does Bryce want a skyline ?

Yeah Marty's apparently headed to the eastern suburbs, te bloke was very keen on it so hopefully he'll look after it. Bryce's car is a really nice car, but who knows where it'll end up.
We definitely need more e-series in Sydney/Wollongong. And ones that are owned by young guys that enjoy them.

Shame about the ticky kit, but I guess it's better to be happy with it rather than rush it. What happened to the diff? Is it a 3.45?
New carpet will make a big difference. I toyed with idea of changing mine to black, not sure how that'd look. Other interior bits would've been painted to match

We'll need to do a cruise at some point, get together some people

Bryce said he wants a change. He was going to turbo the falcon but decided he wanted a change. One of his mates has a skyline (none bar Marty & I have a falcon) so II guess he's going with the flow

Going with charcoal carpet , hopefully it doesn't look stupid next to the grey kick panels lol
It's a 3:45, the pinion seal was leaking so I replaced the seal but now it's started Whining, so pinion preload is lost . Needs a rebuild and clearances reset
EL XR6, dark agents, bilstein shocks, extractors, 3" cat back , 5 speed, sunroof .

I could justify spending the money on the falcon. I've always loved the R32s. And for the money I was gonna spend I can get an awesome gtst or for a bit more get a R32 GTR. My mate has a 33, not the biggest fan on 33s. Oh well!

alright! so i had some balancer isues, which turned out to be balancer, timing case and timing chain...

all replaced now, new powerbond harmonic balancer, rollmaster timing chain/gears, idler pulleys (they were noisey). timing set, et al. drives a lot better now, a bit more poke :drinks2:
(it is still a E7 headed HO intaked wheezer...)

Image

a bit of wear in the case...
Image
Image

together and checkin for leaks, back when i had my brothers wheels
Image

almost hit the 200k km mark... almost!

so so far unsure what i'll do. i have my eye on a V8 fairy, but i'm undecided if i would swap the coilovers into it and sell this XR8 off.
god damn decisions!

Did you have a problem keeping this car cool before? Some one told me that the timing case can corode and cause havoc on the flow of coolent. Just interesting to see if you had issues before and now all good.

I also sent ya a PM!

Should put leather interior in it

Xr8 with ghia interior like mine
Best of both worlds

Second hand roof about 200

800 to get it professionally fitted

Mine has always run a tad hotter. It'll sit on 'R' alllllll day. Only when i have it loaded with AC on going up long hills does it get hotter. Its the same now
The water pump was still good so didnt replace it. My mechanic replaces anything dodgy/non-servicable

Yeah i read the PM! I was going to ask a mate in a car club southern sydney as he had told of a similar car for sale.
When were you planning to see it? I've got some stuff to do for mum this weekend so im unsure if i'll be available, but i have your number, unless you changed it

Thanks josh. I've been tempted to put Ghia interior in. Not keen on getting a sunroof installed. For the price of the fairy i get all Ghia options including leather and ticky kit. With a lot less km's

Still undecided atm!

If you car is running warm and water pump is fine then i would say your radiator is blocked and needs to be replaced...

You would rather do that than replace head gasket's...
Wanted Either Capri/Cortina/XY/XW/XR/XT with tough V8 stroker engine, auto, 9inch, upgraded brakes etc

i like my XR seats too John, but again, it's a bit of a change. It'd be easier to go back to XR seats than vice versa.

I've been in Wolfblass & SuperHus's threads staring at nice Fairmonts too much

thanks Micky, i'll quiz my mechanic about that. It's running warm but not hot

Yeah the owner mentioned it was a NSW car. Actually he said sydney car, dont know where from though. I missed out on a mint EL V8 fairy up here as it had a deposit on it not long after it was put up. i was prettttty dirty, that ended up going to victoria.
I've been watching it for a while and seen the price drop slowly. I called him up for some info the first time i saw it on carsales, which was only hours after he had put it up. Spoke to the bloke for almost a hour and it seems clean and looked after. I am glad i waited as it was a high price to start with, although i am a bit surprised/suspicious that it hadn't sold. I'll find out friday.

I dont mind Heritage green, but it needs other wheels, clear indicators, maybe a bulge. The green doesnt lend itself to much though, seems pretty dull but that could just be shit photos

you and your holidays and you think a skyline is expensive! by the time you've moved out, melbourne & NY you'd be able to get that R32 GTR

Its not bad. Drove straight back to sydney no worries. LPG rocks. Westgate bridge road ring (whatever its called) was heavily fucked, so there was no melbourne visits

I need to get some pics up, the Ghia needs a GOOD polish. It also copped some stone chips on the front lip on the trip home thanks to hume hwy trucks. Its a sweet cruiser though! The missus has already said she'd donate money for a respray (it doesnt need one) to a darker green. Perfect world, everyone loving the car = WIN!
