Luke's EB XR6

So, I joined back in the day (was 15 lol) and started a pretty Tony Martin spec thread (except i didn't actually mod my parents cars) viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2326&p=40412#p40412

LOL :?

Anyway seeing as though I float around on here almost everyday and now actually own an e series I thought I should start a thread of my own..
(copied most over from fordmods)

The car at hand is a black pearl 92 eb xr6 which is pretty much original.
Only downside is it's an auto :x and has had the bootlip spoiler replaced with a bigger ed xr spoiler :(

My dad's owned the car since 2004 and since the start of the year has basically become mine.

It came with the momo steering wheel with the only real/regular mods being:
- 2 1/2 inch exhaust
- extractors
- lowered with pedders shocks and springs
- urethane bushes throughout
- k&n panel filter
- XH snorkel
- aftermarket kenwood headdeck and speakers + sub in boot

Almost everything has been replaced or rebuilt mechanically bar the engine which now needs some attention (has over 300K on the clock and the timing chain guides are gone) so an engine rebuild is on the cards at the end of the year. Money providing, a respray might be on the cards as the bonnet and roof are fairly faded and If I can find a decent bootlip spoiler for cheapish i'll probably snap that up too. Other then that, basically all that will be done to it will be the occasional interior mod and just general maintenance.

It serves it's purpose well as a daily and still goes quite well considering it's age and minimal mods done to it..

Anyway, enough with the chit chat, here's some pics...

Planned on putting these on but decided to stick with the stock look and sell for a profit ;-)

As it sits today:

It is a daily so it's not as clean as it looks in the pic's but scrubs up alright after a good clean haha :)
Plans are to fit a manual conversion and probably build up a fresher motor for it late next year money providing.
Oh and also lower the front a bit more as it's still quite high :-(
Also wanna re-fit a bootlip spoiler to it and possibly respray the bonnet and roof as they've turned to shit...
Anyway for the time being it serves it's purpose as a daily well getting the usual P-plater treatment so until I get a higher paying job not much will change haha

Anyway, thanks for reading

Cheers, Luke

Looks likes a nice straight one you got there.

I reckon you'd be happier with the look if you lost the rear window louvres ;-)

Looks clean as!

I think I prefer the original amber indicators.

Cheers mate,
Pics make it look cleaner then it actually is haha!
Yeah I think it's because the clear indicators are non genuine ones and imho just look tacky.
