My cammed EL XR6

Just thought id throw some pictures up of the EL, had it about 8 months after selling my previous EF. As for the car, 5 speed, heavy duty clutch, extractors, high flow cat and 2.5", 977B and J3. Made 155.5rwkw before the exhaust was on, haven't had it re-tuned since then. Its pretty damn low as well, not too sure about what shocks and springs it has in it but they look like pedders gear. Hoping to get the spoiler off it as soon as I find a reasonable boot lid to replace it with. Not too sure where I'll go with wheels at the moment. Looking at boost around tax time this year. As for me, I'm 21, I live in Adelaide, and I love my falcons, nothing more to say really. I'll add some more photos when i have some. Cheers.

Obligatory night shot with high-beams.

Nice tune! AFRs are spot on. Good power figure for a 977b.

You'll be happy to know its a TI J3 galapogos :P. I guess I should also mention some other cosmetic mods I've done too, the old chrome interior doorhandles scenario and sound system. Sound is all alpine type-r stuff driven by JL G-series amps. Alongside that is an extremely tidy stock interior (photos to come). The car was originally owned by a ford dealer in Geelong before making its way here so he obviously kept it pretty clean.
Cheers.

To be honest I never thought i would buy a red e-series as the majority look crap, but i was very impressed with this one, some clear was coming off the top of the drivers door but I had that and the only small dent on the whole car fixed by a paintless dent repair guy who was next door fixing the neighbor's car, $100 cash, fixed it in about 20 minutes, the only other dodgy thing is the spoiler which i plan on getting rid of anyway so I don't really care. The bloke who owned it before me already modified the clutch pedal side of the pedal box so that's just one other thing i wont have to worry about :D

@ luvsit yeah I know its in the glovebox I pulled it off by accident last time I had the vacuum in there haven't got around to putting it back yet.

As for the other car, its a 1976 Chrysler Galant, I've had it for a while, just working on paint and panel. Ideally I would like to drop a 2.6 Astron turbo into it with a 4 speed from a sigma GSR but I want to get the paint and panel done first. Dry weight is just over 900kg so it should be good fun when finished

At the moment it struggles to get up my driveway with its stomping 40 horses from the 1.6 lol.

Hahahaha lol I bulk failed in calling that lol

Very nice man, I have a zoom mag with a old school sigma wagon in like barbados green and it has a 2.6 Astron and when pumped with 25psi or something like that had 370rwkw. That would have been epic lol

Yeah they seem to make a surprising amount of power for what is essentially a boat anchor... Straight fit, same engine mounts, same bellhousing, same everything, that's my main reason for wanting to do it. That and the look on people faces when a tiny '76 Galant with sheepskin seat covers doses :P

Nice car mate! I really wanted a red manual XR6 years ago, but a really nice heritage green auto came up in mint condition so couldn’t pass it up. The red looks sweet though, as long as you keep it fairly clean and give it the odd wax, should stay like that for sometime. Don’t let it get as far gone as my brothers old Futura which I now own along with my XR6. But some Meguiars deep crystal polish performed better than expected on the weekend, but I’ll just have to keep it clean and wax it now and then to keep it like that!

Thanks all, I'll give it a clean and a coat of wax and get some decent photos..
@slo247 Hey mate, the exhaust is good shit, I've already had a few comments on how nice it sounds now.
@Mate yeah I'm definitely trying to stay on top of it, I've already had a couple bits of flaking clear touched up.. it looks the goods at the moment but it definitely needs to be maintained, its always garaged so shouldn't be too much of an issue. Thanks for the recommendation on the polish as well, I'll get onto it.
Cheers.

Certainly helps if its garaged, mines spent the last 10 years outside 24/7 and I live near the beach, so that’s why it got so oxidised. Would love to see some daytime shots of it.
