Getting closer to doing something with this beast, purchased some genuine ZF oil and a filter kit to do a change/flush on the weekend. Ended up with a 20l drum cause they didn't have enough in 1l bottles.. got it for a good price but its still overpriced!
Hoping to do a few mods and get it tuned in the next few months. not sure how the auto will go as the car has almost 160k on it now but I'll give it a shot!

Oh I fitted an LSD out of a F6 a while back, waaay better to drive now. Also did super pro diff bushes at the same time.
Wouldn't mind giving the rest of the bushes a check/replace a few when I get the chance too.

Nice work.

Does the TC & VSC still work fine with the LSD? The factory program brakes the loose wheel to try and get traction to the other side - this would be unneeded with an LSD.

Would love to drive one with an LSD!

Probably start around 20k and see if I have any interest.

Unfortunately I haven't spent much time in it yet cos its booked in for rego on Thursday... its killing me haha.
But anyway it feels fresher (as it should with 40k on it), suspension and ride are definitely nicer. The engine is a lot more responsive, as soon as you put your foot into it your going! (and fg turbo's aren't exactly laggy). Its quicker by a fair bit too.. just keeps pulling up top, and sounds awesome for a stock setup!
Hate to sound like a tool but there's just something about a GT.. even tho the G6ET is better value and a great car with heaps of potential, I always wanted something else!

You can have the wheels and LSD.. if you buy the whole car ;-)

That's a pretty decent plate! FPV 077 (its number 77) is available but at $455 I'll give it a miss lol. 'abc123' style plates used to be cheap as... once again vicroads are cashing in! I think I'll put my BQQST plates on it anyway

I was going to put those plates on my red XR8, but at the time they were twice as expensive as the EJB plates I got instead. As Parf said though, that is no longer the case as the re-issue plates have gone up. I squashed one of my current plates the other day, and Vic Roads want's $130 for a replacement! :banghead:

Anyway, such a sweet upgrade!! Congrats man!! Personally I'd have gone a manual GS for the extra sleeper look, but no criticism at all, the GT is an epic beast! Nice colour combo!

I think Vicroads have gone to a new numbering system, dads xg ute (just registered last week) has the plates '1FX-1CD' or something like that.
So maybe abc123 plates count as custom now?

If I can afford a few mods I'll do some later down the track  Tune, Exhaust and lower it a little would be a nice start haha.

I got rego today and put the BQQST plates on so now it stands out even more! Just went for a spin in it again and it goes pretty bloody well for standard.. can't wait for a cold night to test it out!

Ev I previously wanted a GS but they are a bit lacking unless fully optioned and still missing brembo's.. plus this was basically GS money so I had to have it lol. Manual would have been nice tho.

Took the GT into Bluepower yesterday for a tune, Chris and Theo once again did a great job.... The car reeled off 302rwkw standard (with a K+N that prob does nothing) and then drove out with 376rwkw! (505rwhp)

Pretty happy with that! It is similar to drive just has more power and response everywhere, wheel spins more and sounds better haha. Blower whine is louder and the exhaust burble slowing down is mint!

Yeah they are an epic engine. I don't think there is another car out there that will gain this much from a tune alone.

Its all standard apart from the K+N air filter and exhaust flap not connected (only for sound).

It also still has the stock ignition timing in it so its a nice safe tune hardly pushing it. Chris showed me a few things that will show and make more power on the dyno... more rpm, leaner, more timing.. all of which is possible to do but isn't ideal for a daily driver that I want to last. The limiter was raised 200rpm (to 6400), heaps of manual cars are turning to 7000 and they keep making power but obviously more rpm isn't always the best thing in the long run!

When the n/a version is 300+ then ford slaps a blower on and supposedly only makes another 30 odd kw you know that's one mild mild tune lol.
