Hey guys, well here's my thread about my XR.
Name's Anth & I'm the proud owner of a 97' Tickford EL XR6. Bit of history behind the car, originally I was in the market for a supercharged VS Calais but after the passing of my Grandfather who adored Ford's his whole life, I thought I'd buy one in memory of him & also to keep his sub 40,000k Original NC Fairlane Ghia V8 company on those lonely nights. After deciding on a Ford, I wondered what to opt for as the AU's didn't interest me & the BA/BF/FG's were a little out of my price range. One thing I needed was manual & sunroof. After endless nights on Carsales, eBay, trading post, you name it. I ended up finding this sub 150k EL XR6, had a sunroof & manual. That weekend I went for the 4 hour drive to go pick it up from country Victoria. Instantly loved it, the smile on my face driving it through Country Vic for 40 minute's sold me. Next thing I was driving back home. Overall I love the car to death, obviously it's going to have a few nicks & crannies for a 15 year old car but it's going to be my work in progress.

I've got this picture in my head of what I want to do with it & it'll be done...
At the moment here's how it stands.

*Heritage Green
*5 Speed Manual
*Factory Sunroof
*Fully Optioned (Passenger Airbag, Cruise, etc) minus the Momo Steering Wheel
*Tickford Kit bar the Spoiler.
*Rolling on FTR's.

What I've done to it so far:
*Wildcat extractors through to a 200 cell High-Flow through to a 2.5" catback with one muffler. Tone's everything, not an annoying drone.
*SL Spring's all round
*Full Sound system, subwoofer, amp & headunit.

What's next:
*Tickford Spoiler
*SSL's in the rear
*Repair the rear damage some moron done to it. -.-
*Cut & Polish
*Momo Steering Wheel
*Darkest legal tint

What I'm dreaming about:
*Wade 1636 cam + supporting mod's
*19" BA GT-P's
*3.9 Diff Gear's
*Full Respray
*Ghia Leather Interior

Don't do Ghia interior though. EL XR6 seats are fucken awesome in standard form. If you REALLY want to go down the leather path, vegabass has his EL XR seat retrim kits almost done. Bolstering is much nicer on XR seats.

Yeah, can't do much about it unfortunately.
Love to see the XR seats wrapped in leather! got a photo? I'm a sucker for leather.

Yep, she'll come up a million bucks! Currently on the lookout for a Tickford Spoiler...not easy to find

Nice xr6! Good plans too. My brother has one of the shark fin ticky wings for sale, but its burgundy, attached to a boot and in NSW.

must admit the XR seats are fairly comfy. just looking to add some luxo to the car. might have a suss at re-trimming the XR seats...would be different thats for sure

it was written off due to impact damage, looks like its been keyed a few times too lol

I was keen to buy this when it was clean but it was like 4 hours away and couldn't really negotiate on price. Wanted like 6.5k for it and wouldn't budge. Was pretty much immac apart from the front end sandblasting due to being from the country. Shame on what happened to it.

yeah man if the left quatre wasnt as bad as it is theres no way i would part it, its thrashed!
