My Chilli EL XR6

hey guys, lost my thread due to the Data corruption issue last night so here i start again
After lurking around for awhile thought i might put up a thread of my car
its a 1997 model fairly stock at the moment, has sunroof, passenger airbag, and the T5 manual from factory.

Plans sound good similar to what I'm doing to mine :)

I had silver argents on my ed i reckon they look awesome top job mate.

p.s jealous of the sunroof

yeah paints in good nick for a 16 year old car, will come up great once i get her detailed :)

silver agents are my fav!

had to get one with a sunroof! :P

looks great mate. i've always wanted a hot chilli red el xr8 manual with a ticky kit. almost bought one a few years ago and regret not getting it!

throw a tickford kit on that and it will be mint!

i'm a huge fan of those wheels too!

Seems as though the leak is coming from the seal that gets pushed in by the rod connected through the booster, undo those front nuts on the brake booster and pull of the reservoir and casing to see where its coming from.

would it be easy for a for a guy whos not much of a mechanic haha? :P i took it to a mechanic and he just said easier to replace the whole thing but im not sure :roll:

really couldnt stand having no headrests in the back seats so swapped over the foam in the seats with a fairmont one and put them in

I said it in your first thread that got deleted but I'll say it again, love it man!

The argents suit it perfectly, I wouldnt put the wing on however. Take it from another bloke with a chilli el, they're called spoilers for a reason.

thanks alot mate! :)

my brothers car has it and i really like it so idk.. 'spoilers' nice one haha

the kit is getting color matched and painted so ill be able to test fit everything next week and see which look ill go for, also thinking about rim skins but unsure at the moment :confused:

I'll have to keep on top of this thred. I love a neat el xr6.
And by the looks of things you really look after a good car which is good to see :)
can't wait too see it with the kit on and deffently needs the wing!

not related to my car but its worth showing

this is my mates freshly painted el xr6. its manual, has genuine el gt's, full redback, and is getting a sunroof installed soon. looks amazing :)
will try to get him to make a build thread on here haha

Tops looking drive mate. The Agents set it off well and your paint is also spot on. Be good to see that bodykit on her :D
