superhuS' EBII S-Pac: Smashing Box.

Postby superhuS! » March 30th, 2013, 12:18 pm

Hi there.

Due to unwanted police attention in the LTD and stupidly driving a V8 on my P plates, I decided to finally grow up and become somewhat of a law abiding citizen. And I really didn't want to stay on my P's for the remainder of my natural life. So I swapped the LTD For this.

Deets:

10/92 EBII S-pac
Factory K code manual.
Black. Black. Black. Also faded to shithouse.
Sunroof.
Sprint kit.
Bitsa leather interior (ED Ghia fronts, EF ghia rears)
Extremely worn Momo wheel
FTR's in surprisingly good nick
Some headwork. Apparently it's got a ported head, double valve springs, vernier gear and somewhat of a cam. Pulls hard though.

Needs a little TLC, but is proving to be a reliable car so far.

Plans:

Remove all XR6/ticky badges.
Lip spoiler.
Got a fresher bottom end as this one doesn't like to build oil pressure, and is starting to blow a little smoke. While engine is out, I'll do serp/BBM/Thermo conversion.
Currently winning a set of 19x9.5 and 19x8 Starcorp Impuls. These will either go on the Ghia or this.
Flock all interior plastics to black, Black carpet, black roof lining, re-trim dash is faux suede.
DC LTD doortrims if I can find some. Flock those, retrim leather with leather I have laying around at home
GKTECH Steering wheel
Climate control/Cruise conversion (gotta figure out where to mount cruise buttons)
Put Bilstein/Koni/Ultralow combo from LTD into this.
Grind up a 1521a
Attempt to respray the thing myself. Or the roof at least.
3.9's.

Mainly going to be a DIY car for me. Would be nice to start learning how to do shit myself!

Pichurs.

What's wrong with the roof that warrants re-spraying it?

Sucker :P

EL's gone to sleep in a container at my grandfathers property in Lara. Plans are to get a BF turbo motor, but I've moved back home to get myself back on my feet after being in and out of work for the past year. When I can TRUELY afford to get it going I'll rent some space somewhere and go nuts.

There is literally no clearcoat left on the roof and c pillars, and it's starting to peel on the doors and the bonnet. The paint has also faded badly on the roof to the point that it looks like a Dalmatian.

Yeah I sorta remember that. Not the way I wanted to go though. I might pinch something with a cruise stalk and screw that into the column.

Definitely a Sprint kit. Cheers Rollin! Never thought I'd own a boxcar (apart from the boxlane) because I personally think they're hideous :P

A lot of the aftermarket kits run a stalk off the column, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one that will work for you.

The more I look at the car the better it looks. Great pick up

Put a lip spoiler on, did it half assed, looks like shit. Need to rip it off and do it again when I can be farked.

Also, bought some paint for it last week, will be attempting to respray the roof. And if it comes out half decent, the rest of the car is next.

It's pretty easy to fit factory cruise to these - even easier to fit EL cruise. Then you can run a factory Fairmont or GT wheel for cruise buttons.
