Hey guys so 2 weeks ago I bought a car all stock and what not It's a ford ba fairmont mkII sedan it's done 243XXXKm but I'm not fussed It's on gas and petrol, it is a 4L after having a Magna for the last 6 months this is a big upgrade.
I would have had picks up sooner but with my new job at super cheap auto and the last week it has been raining for like 6 days straight buy finally got a good day to take some photos
Future plans are so far get an xr6 front bar and lights as the one I have now has some scrapes, extractors and exhaust, nice set of wheels and lower it on lows all rou
Hot Chilli Red EL XR6, 5-spd manual, with BF F6 TYPHOON motor and supporting mod's, 3" exhaust etc etc. 298 rwkw @ 12 psi with re-tune likely. My car here: http://www.pertheseries.com/forums/inde ... entry84622 NOW BOOSTED ...BF TYPHOON STYLE !!!
yer they do go on commodores and yer they fit on to the magna thats in the background but i havent seen anyone else in gippsland with them on so i thought hey why not and they only cost me $600 with 90% tred
so today after driving home from work my car desided to start playing up and i was about 500m from home when it wouldn't go for 50 without the diff going crazy and so got it home and apoc and i had a look at it and reverse wont engage so it looks to be diff, diff bush or even the auto has givin way but wont know till it goes up on the hoist tomorrow morning
So after taking the rear end out of the car turns out that the diff that was in the car was not the stock one it had been replaced before and who ever did it didn't do it right as there was about 4 bolts missing that's why it broke so picked up another one with 2 drive shafts for 550 and getting a new tail shaft for 160 tomorrow as the old had gone to
Yea I was but we put all the bolts back in today went to the wreckers picked up the missing ones and was all in by 3 just need to put the breaks and rotors and tail shaft on that I can drive it again and my friend and I are doing it ourselves on a hoist at the caltex store in sale
So when I put my exhaust on I didn't have the right size gasket for the centre so used the stock one and well cause if that it kept on back firing got a miner defect for having it to loud so put a new one on this was the old one and now it's ALOT quieter
I think it may have been a little fucked lol. Small gaskets on exhausts are shit, and usually cause issues. It is amazing how much difference the right part makes
So a quick up date the other week I got reversed in to and the driver didn't stop which is gay as aids but thankfully it's not to much damage just need a new door and the other day I was driving around and hit a pot hole and well cracked on of my rims 10cm hairline crack right threw it so I'm up for a new set of rims to ill post some pics up tomorrow when it's daylight
So tonight I just bought a new set of rims kinda like my old ones but just a little different cost me 400 with unroadworthy tread but I'm just gunna get mine swapped over for them this is what the look like pick them up in about 2-3 weeks still working on getting a door but hopefully i can find one soon
