EF Fairmont 5.0

Postby Mark_efv8 » July 13th, 2013, 10:11 pm

Gday all

I've been meaning to post up a few pics of my car for a while. The focus of the mods have been to engine & running gear so the car looks completely stock. bit of sleeper i guess.

When I first started modifying the car I had a bit of trouble finding pics of the same mods i was doing, especially regarding the impco 425 setup, so hopefully these pics might be of use to someone.

Any input is welcome

Cheers

Thinking of going manual?
What have you done to the engine?
Future plans? Looks like a great starting point.

G'day
Yeah I've been thinking of going manual for a while but it's not really in the budget at the moment.
The main upgrades I've done to the engine so far is:
- gt40p heads with duel valve springs
- xr8 inlet manifolds (come off xh xr8 ute)
- extractors and single 3 inch cutback exhaust

I just order a j3 chip with custom tune from ti performance so hopefully ill get that in the next few days. After that's in ill prob get it onto the dyno and have it tweaked a bit.

Cheers
